What a night last night! Congratulations to members of the Master Chorale, the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Gustavo Dudamel who performed Gabriela Ortiz’s “Revolución Diamantina” and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 at London’s Royal Albert Hall as part of BBC Proms summer festival.

Join us at the Hollywood Bowl next Thursday, August 20 to commemorate Gustavo Dudamel’s 17-year tenure as LA Phil’s Music & Artistic Director for “Celebrating Gustavo at the Bowl: Beethoven 9.”

This stunning program features one of Dudamel’s favorite pieces – Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony – with the voices of the Master Chorale led by Artistic Director Grant Gershon and Associate Artistic Director Jenny Wong. Also on the program is a world premiere by American film and video game composer Michael Giacchino with lyrics written by the U.S.’s youngest inaugural poet, Amanda Gorman, featuring the Los Angeles Children’s Chorus led by Fernando Malvar-Ruíz.

We are thrilled to be considered for a Latin Grammy for 's "Yanga."

The recording already received three Grammys earlier this year and features the voices of the Master Chorale led by our Artistic Director Grant Gershon, for which we won Best Choral Performance in February.

It also features conducting the Los Angeles Philharmonic and other incredible collaborators.

Composer Ortiz says that “Yanga” was inspired by the story of Gaspar Yanga and celebrates freedom, liberty, resistance and human dignity through music.

What a year it’s going to be!

We can’t wait to welcome you to the start of our dazzling 2026/27 season celebrating Kiki and David Gindler Artistic Director Grant Gershon’s silver anniversary with the Los Angeles Master Chorale.

The season opens on Sunday, September 27 with the triumphant return of Brahms’ Requiem, one of the most beloved orchestral and choral pieces of all time. Revel in the warmth, majesty and glorious sounds of the Master Chorale as 150 singers and instrumentalists bring this “Human Requiem” to life at Walt Disney Concert Hall.

It continues with our collaboration with The National Chorus of Korea, five delightful and heartfelt holiday programs, plus spectacular evenings with choral conductor and composer extraordinaire Eric Whitacre and internationally renowned violinist Anne Akiko Meyers.

And if you love theater and music together, you won’t want to miss the 10th anniversary of Lagrime di San Pietro (The Tears of St. Peter) – described by critics as “mind blowing” and “overwhelmingly emotional.” Plus, there’s our salute to the music of Stephen Sondheim complete with some very special guest artists (to be announced soon!).
