Camp Kesem at Pepperdine University To support children through and beyond their parent’s cancer with innovative, fun-filled programs that foster a lasting community.

Kesem is a diverse community led by passionate and empathetic college students working to ensure that children facing the challenges of a parent’s cancer have space, connection, and support to rediscover the joys of childhood. Our mission is to support children through and beyond their parent’s cancer with free, fun-filled creative programs and a lasting community. Kesem operates at more than 130

chapters coast-to-coast. Its programs and services are all funded by generous donations from individuals, foundations, and corporate partners. Kesem is a federally registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.

Our friends at Camp Kesem at San Diego State University are seeking a mental health professional for camp next week (8/5 - 8/10). We are offering compensation ($1000 - $1500) and travel reimbursements.

Mental health professionals serve as a resource to our counselors in dealing with common situations at camp such as homesickness and behavior management.

All children attending camp are impacted by a parent’s caner and attend FREE OF CHARGE in order to connect with peers.

Update: Our nurse positions have been filled! Please continue to spread the word to help us find a mental health professional.

Looking for mental health professionals (Masters degree in psychology, social work, or a related field) to help us out at camp next week in the Southern California area!

All professional staff will receive meals and lodging in addition to compensation ($1000) and travel reimbursement for the week.

Nurses help administer medications and perform first aid for campers and counselors during the week of camp.

Mental health professionals serve as a resource to our counselors in dealing with common situations at camp such as homesickness and behavior management.
