Take a trip with us to Cal State Fullerton to visit Nicholas Pérez — our Office and Rehearsal Assistant and one of our trombone players!

Nicholas is a fourth-year trombone performance major who started playing back in 2015. Since then, he’s added tuba and euphonium to his repertoire too! He’s deeply involved within his department and brings a free-spirited energy to ICYOLA that we all love. Spend a typical day on campus with him! 🎶

🎶 Big news! We’re just 2 days away from our season-ending concert!
Get an inside look at one of our featured works, Lincoln Portrait, as our conductor, Chuck Dickerson, shares what makes this powerful piece so special.

But the season isn’t over yet! Next, we’ll be performing at the Mount Rushmore Amphitheater on July 14. If you’ll be in the area, we’d love to see you there!

This summer, we’re taking 125 talented young musicians across the country. If you’d like to support their journey, we would be incredibly grateful for your donation. Your generosity directly helps provide these students with unforgettable musical and educational opportunities while strengthening and uplifting our ensemble. You donate via link in bio 💫

Thank you for supporting the Inner City Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles—we can’t wait to share this exciting journey with you! ❤️🎶

Meet Luc - the principal clarinetist of our orchestra! ⭐️

Luc Edouard Eldridge is a Los Angeles-based musician pursuing a bachelors degree in Music Composition at the University of Southern California. He is classically trained in piano, clarinet, and voice, and has participated in several youth music programs, including the CASMEC All-State Ensembles, SCSBOA All-Southern Ensembles, and the Pacific Symphony Youth Wind Ensemble. Luc is currently ICYOLA’s Principal Clarinetist, where he mentors young musicians and teaches clarinet.

Alongside his classical training, Luc is a singer, songwriter, producer, and cofounder of EASTWEST, a duo formed at USC with fellow ICYOLA member Bakhari Nokuri. Together they blend jazz and orchestral roots with modern R&B, pop, and dance music, prioritizing feel over formula.

Keep your eyes out for Luc on stage at our Season Finale on July 12th — you won’t want to miss it! 💫🎶
