💡How To Calm Anxious Thoughts: “Writing & Deep Breathing” ✍🏾🧘🏾‍♀️

1️⃣When you're feeling overwhelmed or confused, write down your thoughts to gain clarity. Here are some tips for writing down your thoughts to gain clarity:
🤎Find a quiet and comfortable place where you won't be disturbed.
🤎Set a timer for 5-10 minutes.
🤎Write down everything that comes to mind, without judgment.
🤎Don't worry about grammar or spelling.
🤎Once the timer goes off, stop writing and review what you've written.
🤎Identify any patterns or themes in your thoughts.
🤎Start to develop strategies for dealing with your thoughts.

2️⃣Deep breathing can help to calm your mind and body. It can also help to improve your focus and concentration. Try these affirmations for deep breathing:
✨As I inhale deeply, I fill my lungs with peace and tranquility.
✨With each exhale, I release tension and stress.
✨I am surrounded by a bubble of calm, and I am safe.
✨My breath is steady and rhythmic, and I am grateful for this moment.
✨I am fully present, and I am breathing deeply.
✨I am calm, relaxed, and at peace.

The holiday season can bring joy, but it can also be overwhelming for many. If you’re feeling emotionally drained, remember: it’s okay to step back.
1️⃣ Create boundaries: You don’t have to attend every event or say yes to every request.
2️⃣ Find small joys: A walk, a favorite song, or journaling can help shift your perspective.
3️⃣ Reach out: You’re not alone. Friends, family, or a mental health professional can support you.

Your well-being matters more than any holiday obligation. Take this season one moment at a time 💗

The holidays can be hard for so many reasons—loss, loneliness, or just the pressure to feel “merry.” Here are ways to take care of YOU:
💗Lean into community: Even a quick text or virtual call can make a difference.
💗 Allow your feelings: It’s okay to grieve, to feel joy, or even to feel numb. You’re human.
💗 Find balance: For every obligation you take on, commit to one act of self-care.
The holidays don’t have to be perfect—they just have to be real. Take it one day at a time, and know that brighter moments are ahead.

💡How To Calm Anxious Thoughts: “Separating Facts, Feelings, and Beliefs” 🧘🏾‍♀️

1️⃣During anxiety, remember you're safe 🛟. Anxiety can trigger our fight-or-flight response, leaving us feeling out of control. Instead, take a step back, assess the situation, and focus on the present to calm anxious thoughts.
2️⃣Take a deep breath and separate facts from feelings. Remember that beliefs are not always facts.

Try these grounding affirmations to calm anxious thoughts:
✨“I am choosing to do the opposite of what my anxiety is telling me.”
✨“This is my current situation and how I am currently feeling, but I am capable of finding a way to handle it.”
✨“Through writing, I gain clarity and a deeper understanding of myself.”
