I am actively looking for a Chemical Process Engineer for a well known and highly respected industrial plant in Limerick.

I have assisted this company with their recruitment needs for a number of years and every person I have placed there has been incredibly happy. Candidates should have an Honours Degree in Chemical Engineering with at least 3 years’ experience in the Process Industry with responsibility for process control.

Responsibilities include

- Day to day process control of a significant part of the Plant
- The long-term development of the process under their responsibility
- To develop, organise and control programmes to eliminate existing or potential process/engineering problems and deliver plant improvements
- Ensure that their area meets its production targets while maximising product quality
- Recommend, justify, plan, initiate and install projects aimed at improving plant performance
- Screen and prioritises problem areas within their area of responsibility
- Actively participate in plant improvement programmes relating to safety, quality, environment, costs, energy and process, as required
- Provide technical backup to the operations teams in resolving complex process/plant problems
- Promote the generation of new ideas of equipment modification, analytical requirements and data handling
- Contribute to formulation and updating of process and efficiency standards

The role holders will be exposed to a wide variety of unit operations and process technologies. In the role the successful candidates will be supported by the most advanced computer technology available to the Process Industry, as well as having access to an experienced process development team and extensive research laboratories.

Engineering Stores Manager

A world-class engineering company, who are committed to delivering winning, cost-effective solutions within automated environments, are looking for 4 x Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers for a new site in Derbyshire/Leicestershire.
Location: Castle Donington
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
Hours: Days (Monday to Friday)
The role:

In the role you will be supporting a small team of engineers covering a 24/7/365 operation across 4 shifts, having full responsibility relating to all Engineering Spares and Stores stocks on site. You will be required to ensure that all the company purchases are redeemed at the best price, therefore negotiation skills are key. As the manager you will also be responsible for ensuring that any administration is undertaken and maintained.
Responsibilities :
Engineering budget control
Monitoring stock levels and usage to identify fast / slow moving components, identifying opportunities for stock reduction
All critical spares identified
Help identify area for capital investment process improvements, machinery modification and asset care robustness
Process the purchase and delivery of engineering materials without delaying the engineering service
Cost of ownership by asset (components consumed)
Mean time before failure / frequency of failures by components
Ensuring the supply of goods comply with the company quality standards
Conduct annual review of supplier's performance with respect to company quality, cost and delivery criteria
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Engineering stores / stores management. A background in the MHE or Warehouse will be favourable, however an FMCG background will also be considered. Experience of man-management is favourable, however not a necessity, as long as you can demonstrate genuine leadership abilities.
