Raise A Child RaiseAChild is the nationwide leader in the recruitment of LGBTQ+ and all prospective foster parents. Our services are free and confidential.

Our mission is to inspire and encourage caring people to nurture children in foster care. RaiseAChild brings personal experience and expert guidance to help you discover your options and support you on your path to caring for a child in your community. RaiseAChild recruits, educates, and provides guidance to prospective foster families. We partner with regional and national foster family agencies

and state counties to improve the process of fostering children. Since 2011, RaiseAChild has recruited 15,000 foster parents nationally. We believe every child deserves stability, love, and nurturing to grow into their full potential. Learn more about the benefits of fostering at raiseachild.org

Over these years, we’ve recruited over 15,000 prospective parents, investing more than 42,000 hours in the pursuit of belonging for the 400,000+ children in foster care. Each hour, each connection, has been a testament to the power of perseverance and compassion.

At RaiseAChild, we are committed to the children in foster care. Whether it’s reuniting with biological parents, finding temporary solace in a foster family’s home, or deciding to move forward with a forever home through adoption—we’re there. Which is why we’re thrilled to now be a part of All For Kids In April 2025, RaiseAChild merged into All For Kids, paving the way for more inclusive support and resources, ensuring every child has the loving home they deserve.

We won’t rest until we’ve found safe and loving homes for every single one of the 400,000+ children in foster care.
