UCLA's Southeast Asian (SEA) Admit Weekend is an award-winning program held for prospective Southeast Asian admitted students in collaboration by Southeast Asian Student Organizations at UCLA, including the Vietnamese Student Union, United Khmer Students, Thai Smakom, Laotian A

merican Organization, and the Association of Hmong Students. Already in its 9th annual year, SEA Admit Weekend seeks to promote higher education, increase community consciousness, and provide a safe and supportive Southeast Asian community on campus, while introducing Southeast Asian admits to the vast variety of opportunities and resources available to them at UCLA.

This workshop series aims to retrace your roots and discover the underground meaning behind your identity and lifestyle. Digging deeper into your identity with these workshops will help sprinkle seeds of growth and understanding for yourself and for those around you with topics ranging from mental health, work-life balance, the SEA experience, and gender + identity! Our wonderful workshop facilitators have been working hard to prepare fun, insightful workshops to teach our admits how to survive college life! Not only that, our workshops also aim to give admits an opportunity to dive deeper into their identities as SEA students.

On behalf of the SEA Admit Staff, we want to welcome you to find your ROOTS at UCLA during this year’s SEA Admit Weekend (SAW)! Join us from April 8-10, 2022 for a hybrid (virtual and in-person) three-day program created for newly admitted students to explore the many opportunities and resources UCLA has to offer. Through our mentorship program, tours of the UCLA campus, workshops, and alumni panels, we hope to give you the tools to navigate higher education, while helping you learn more about the Southeast Asian community and student engagement.
