Inclusive Action for the City A nonprofit, economic justice org. that builds power + wealth for our community. Reach out for low-interest loans, advocacy, and innovation.

Inclusive Action (IAC) accomplishes its work through three primary functions:

I. Advocacy & Research - IAC researches and advocates for thoughtful urban policy and holds forums connecting hundreds of planners and community development practitioners each year in support of innovative revitalization initiatives;

II. Lending & Economic Development - IAC designs and builds economic development projects including the Semi'a Fund, which provides low-interest loans to entrepreneurs in low-income, communities of color; and

III. Advisory Services - IAC serves as an expert resource for organizations and government agencies trying to implement innovative strategies to revitalize low-income, urban areas.

What a day! ✨💕🙌 So great to be at Hustle & Heart Collective | Palm Beach County, Fl Entrepreneur Summit!

We loved meeting amazing entrepreneurs and sharing the resources we provide – like small business loans and workshops.

We also led a panel called Buy Back the Block, talking about what it takes for local businesses to purchase commercial real estate so they can become owners and stay rooted in our neighborhoods. Thank you Βarney Santos of BLVD MRKT and Andres Vargas of La Fortaleza for joining us!

We're proud to stand up to protect critical funding for small businesses and community development in California and nationwide. Our lawsuit was urgently needed because almost $300 million in congressionally approved funding was being held by the federal government and set to expire at the end of the month. 

Together, Inclusive Action and CAMEO Network took action, working with Democracy Forward — and this week in court, the government committed to get these dollars out on time. We’ll keep working to hold them accountable and ensure the CDFI sector can rely on the support it deserves to invest in America’s entrepreneurs.

Starting October 1, Rudy will be taking time off to rejuvenate and reflect. More than 14 years in the making, Rudy’s sabbatical honors his long-term leadership and service. We’re glad that our VP of Policy Doug will serve as our interim CEO until Rudy’s return in February of 2027. See you soon!

We're disappointed by the veto of AB 2635, but so proud of this bill and the leadership of landscapers and allies. We will continuing the fight to get landscapers a real seat at the table and the resources they deserve.
