Today marks 14 years since DACA was announced, opening doors for hundreds of thousands of Dreamers to work, study, and contribute to the communities they call home.

Over the past 14 years, DACA recipients have become an essential part of our country. Today, 87% are in the workforce, serving as nurses, teachers, entrepreneurs, and community leaders.

This anniversary, we're proud to highlight the story of Dayana Molina, a DACA recipient since 2013 whose passion for community service became a career dedicated to advancing environmental justice, public health, and equitable access to green spaces throughout Los Angeles.

While we celebrate the contributions and resilience of Dreamers, many DACA recipients are facing longer-than-usual renewal processing times. USCIS recommends submitting renewal applications 120–150 days before your DACA expires to avoid potential gaps in work authorization.

Dreamers are here to stay. Their contributions strengthen our communities every day, and they deserve permanent protections and a pathway to citizenship.

Yesterday, we stood in solidarity with the Federación de Clubes Zacatecanos del Sur de California, charros, escaramuzas, and community members at City Hall to defend the charreadas.

Charrería is part of our history, our identity, and our culture. It is a tradition passed down through generations that teaches respect, community, and pride in our roots. We will continue raising our voices to ensure that our traditions are respected and preserved.

¡La charrería no se prohíbe, se respeta!

⚽🌎 This past weekend, Mundialito 2026 brought together families from many countries, cultures, and backgrounds to celebrate something bigger than soccer: community.

At a time when many seek to divide us, we came together stronger than ever. We laughed, played, cheered, and celebrated side by side, proving that there are no borders in our community. The World Cup belongs to all of us, and Mundialito reminded us that our diversity is our strength and our unity is our power.

Many nations. One community. One beautiful game.
