Hello Everyone🥳
This past Saturday, African Coalition hosted an expressive painting workshop/bonfire at Dockweiler Beach to allow for our youth to discuss their feelings : free of judgement and stigma.☀️
Because of unforeseen circumstances with entry to the beach, some of our youth were unable to enter. But God had other things in mind. Our team needed to access a bonfire pit, and Patrena of Recovery In Session was willing to share. 🫂
Our teams were able to combine, share resources, and cooking responsibilities 🌭🍔. Additionally, they had plenty of youth (and adults) that wanted to participate in our expressive painting activity. We had so many talented individuals bring their feelings to life on canvas, and we are so grateful to them for opening up to us. Additionally, some of our youth were able to make it in time for some yummy food and painting fun !🥳
Thank you again to Patrena, Susie, Cesar, and everyone on behalf of Recovery In Session. It was such an honor to join up with you all, and we are honored to have experienced community support in action with you 🙏🏽
We hope to paint some more with you all soon🥳🫂.
