As a member of the Greater L.A. Coalition on Homelessness, WORKS would like to speak to the results of the 2024 Greater L.A. Homeless count. Significant progress has been made: homeless service providers successfully rehoused 27,300 people in a single year, setting a new record for L.A. County's homeless response system.

To sustain this positive trend, increased investment in affordable housing is essential to further reducing homelessness.

Today’s homeless count provides additional evidence that a coordinated response to the region’s homeless crisis is working. More resources are needed, so let’s keep it going!
