🎂 Birthday wish needed!

Tomorrow, Elias from Italy turns 17, and he is still hoping for one very special gift: a host family for his semester in America. 🇮🇹🇺🇸

Elias loves soccer, movies, music, and meeting new people. He’ll be a senior this fall and is excited to experience everyday American life from August through December.

He’s eager to get involved while he’s here too, whether that’s sports, school clubs, church activities, or volunteering in the community.

Could your family be the reason his birthday wish comes true? ❤️

🇰🇷 Could you host Eunbyeol from South Korea?

Eunbyeol will turn 16 this August and is looking for a host family for just one semester (August–December).

She has already completed part of her exchange experience in the U.S. and is hoping for the chance to finish what she started. She’s kind, respectful, independent, and enjoys a quieter, supportive environment.

Host families provide a bed, meals, and a welcoming home. Eunbyeol comes with her own spending money and medical insurance.

💙 Could your family open your home for one semester and help make her dream possible?

Reach out for details or tag someone who might be a great host family!

There are probably a lot of people in our community who have thought about hosting an exchange student someday, but just haven’t taken the leap yet.

If that’s you, I’d love for you to meet Henrike from Germany. 🇩🇪

Henrike is 16 years old and will be a junior this fall. She loves gymnastics and trains in sport acrobatics several times a week. She’s also interested in trying cheerleading while she’s here, and her athletic background could make her a great fit.

When she’s not training, Henrike enjoys drawing, swimming, baking, spending time with family, and meeting new people. She describes herself as caring, open minded, and outgoing, and she’s excited to experience life as part of an American family.

Sometimes hosting starts with a simple thought: “Maybe someday.”

For one student waiting for a host family, maybe someday could be today. ❤️🇺🇸

Two families. Two countries. One very special connection. ❤️

Mia’s parents came from Germany to visit and finally meet her host family after a year full of memories. They shared dinners, stories, and plenty of laughs while celebrating the amazing year Mia has had.

It’s hard to put into words how special it is to see the bond that forms between a student, their host family, and their family back home. What a wonderful way to end an unforgettable exchange year. 🇩🇪🇺🇸

One of the most rewarding parts of the exchange experience is seeing the bonds that form between students, host families, and natural families around the world. ❤️

This week, Aruã from Brazil had a very special opportunity when his parents traveled from Brazil to visit and celebrate his graduation. They were able to watch him walk in the graduation ceremony and share in this milestone alongside his host family. 🎓🇧🇷

During their visit, Aruã's parents met many of the people who helped make his exchange year so meaningful, including friends, teachers, coaches, host family members, and Heidi, Regional Advisor. It was a wonderful reminder of how many lives are touched through international exchange.

Seeing natural families and host families united in celebration is one of the most meaningful outcomes of these programs. What begins as a year abroad often grows into lifelong friendships and connections that span continents.

Congratulations to Aruã on an unforgettable exchange year!
