Transgender Service Provider Network

Transgender Service Provider Network TSPN was formed to meet the needs of transgender youth, and address concerns regarding HIV prevention/ care within the Los Angeles transgender community.

The Transgender Service Provider Network (TSPN) was first known as the Transgender Youth Consortium (TYC). The City AIDS Coordinators Office funded the TYC in 1999. The TYC provided a unique opportunity for transgender men and women on staff at participating agencies to coordinate services and collaborate on projects designed to address identified service gaps for transgender individuals. Original

members include the Asian Pacific AIDS Intervention Team, Bienestar Human Services, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Gay and Le***an Adolescent Social Services, Minority AIDS Project, and Van Ness Recovery House, Prevention Division. In 2005, TSPN was formed to meet the needs of our transgender youth, and address concerns regarding HIV prevention and care within the Los Angeles transgender community. Subsequently, TSPN expanded its membership to all social service agencies, including newly DHSP-funded adult-specific providers.
