Our hearts are with Tucson following the violence outside Venture-N, a longtime gathering place for the LGBTQIA+ community. We mourn Vincent Anthony Siqueiros and Cameron Davis Capara, whose lives were taken, and stand with their loved ones, the Venture-N family, and everyone grieving this tragedy.

Christopher Street West and LA Pride stand firmly against violence and hate in all forms. Moments like this remind us of our responsibility as a Pride organization to not only acknowledge what has happened, but to help our community stay informed, connected, and supported.

If this has affected you, please reach out to someone you trust, connect with your local Pride or LGBTQIA+ organization, or reach out to us. We’re sharing a few resources below for anyone who may need support or connection right now. We also invite our community to tag additional organizations providing safety, mental health, victim support, and community care resources.

We will continue showing up for one another, because Pride has always been about community, especially when our community needs each other most. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Big thanks to Delta Air Lines for sponsoring our beach cleanup this Pride season. Volunteers came together to clean up the coast, swap stories, and prove that pride means taking care of each other and our spaces.
