Pit bulls type breeds are not banned in New Zealand or Australia. They are a restricted breed meaning there are specific restrictions one must follow if they own a pit bull breed type dog. The ban in New Zealand and Australia is from importing any pit bull breed type dogs. In the UK, they are banned,however one can request from the courts if the courts think the pit bull type breed is not a danger to the public under an Index of Exempted Dogs. -Nena Hernandez, Executive Director at Island Rescue Organization or IRO (Cebu), the Pit Bull Mama of the Philippines.

World's Biggest Pitbull Fathers Litter of Puppies Worth Staggering £320,000 The world's biggest pitbull cuddles up to his adorable new litter - valued at a whopping half-a-million dollars. The eight puppies were fathered by gentle giant Hulk, who weighs in at a huge 12 stone.
And even though his owners say his bite could 'snap a man's arm like a toothpick', here he shows off his softer side by nuzzling and licking his new brood. The eight pups could collectively command $500,000 (£320,000) if they go through owner Marlon Grennan’s training school to become elite protection dogs.
And there are even hopes one of the new batch could one day grow big enough to steal their father's crown.
Hulk's puppies would usually sell for up to $30,000 (£19,000) at birth, simply because who their father is.
But if they were to be trained as elite protection dogs then Marlon says they could sell for $55,000 (£35,000) or more, Marlon says.
The business supplies protection dogs to high-profile celebrities, billionaires and wealthy professionals - as well as law enforcement around the world
