From sugar skulls to papel picado is an experience where you can explore 17 unique altars from our community partners, along with work from our mentee program highlighting emerging artists. Reflecting the diverse stories & cultures of Los Angeles 🎨

Here at you can be part of one of the biggest Community Altars in Los Angeles, by leaving a framed photo, memento, or message in remembrance of someone special. 📸 (Please bring photocopies, as items cannot be returned.)

It is that time to gather and celebrate those we cherish at and walk among the ofrendas at Gloria Molina Grand Park’s de los Mu***os. Where every name and offering weaves our collective community tapestry together. 🧵✨

Feel the copal in the air, the cempasúchil (marigolds) to guide the path, and the love that never fades. Visit the park from October 24 through November 2, 2026, for this 10-day outdoor cultural exhibition that invites all to honor departed loved ones and celebrate living community connections. 🕯️🌼

Gloria Molina Grand Park’s de los Mu***os returns as a celebration of life, legacy, and the stories we carry forward. 🧵A single thread can preserve history and inspire another—woven together across the lawn, these individual lives become a living tapestry of Los Angeles: our elders, ancestors, and the cultural pollinators who shape our county every day.

Guided by longtime park partner and master altarista Consuelo G. Flores, our 10-day exhibition transforms the heart of DTLA into a shared civic sanctuary.

***os transforms the park into a space where loved ones are honored and celebrate people whose contributions took many forms. From Community altars, performances, activations, face painting, sugar skull decorating, and so much more.

Explore 17 unique altars from our community partners, along with work from our mentee program highlighting emerging artists. Reflecting the diverse stories & cultures of Los Angeles 🎨
