The Relational Center

The Relational Center Our mission is to lead a shift towards culture that values empathy, diversity, and interdependence.

The Relational Center exists to promote the essential importance of relationships. When we value our connections with others and with the environment, we create the necessary conditions for health and sustainability. So our work promotes personal, interpersonal, and social practices that help people build strong, resilient relationships. Our programs provide healing support, a space for community building, and tools for leadership.

Introducing a new group starting next Thursday. Dropping-In is a weekly community space for practicing embodiment through mindfulness, somatic exercises, reflection, and shared conversation.

Together, we’ll explore simple practices that help us reconnect with our bodies, our emotions, and each other.

No experience necessary. Just bring yourself.

Thursdays at 10am beginning June 4.

Facilitated by Sara Kase and Max Alaghband, therapist trainees with backgrounds in mindfulness, yoga, and somatic practice. 🌿

Your body has been with you all day. Have you checked in with it? 🌿

This is a simple somatic awareness practice we use in relational gestalt work — noticing what’s alive in the body, right now, without trying to fix or explain it.

What are you holding today? 💬

Last month, therapists on our Brave Trails team hosted a parent workshop focused on support, connection, and the realities of raising kids and teens right now.

We left feeling inspired by the authenticity, care, and enthusiasm parents brought into the room. Just people showing up honestly, sharing openly, and reminding each other they don’t have to do this alone.

“I do my thing and you do your thing. I am not in this world to live up to your expectations. And you are not in this world to live up to mine. You are you, and I am I. If by chance, we find each other, it is beautiful. If not, it can’t be helped.”
–Fritz Perls, founder of Gestalt Therapy

Starting therapy at TRC kind of begins before the session, tbh.

There’s a shared space to land — puzzle on the table, tea, books, a few cozy things.

Come early if you want. Stay a minute after. No pressure either way.
