While many people are celebrating today, we also know that holidays can bring up a wide range of emotions.
For some, the Fourth of July means gathering with loved ones. For others, it may bring grief, loneliness, family conflict, financial stress, sensory overwhelm, or simply a feeling of not belonging.
Whatever you are experiencing today, there is room for it. You don’t have to force yourself to feel festive if that’s not where you are.
If you have the capacity, consider reaching out to someone who might appreciate a little connection today. A text, a phone call, or an invitation can remind someone that they are not alone.
At The Relational Center, we believe healing happens in relationship. Community isn’t only something we celebrate, it’s something we create through small acts of care, presence, and showing up for one another.
However you’re spending today, we hope you find a moment of peace, kindness, or connection.
