Together L.A. Together LA enhances the positive impact of faith-inspired individuals and organizations committed to the well-being of people across Los Angeles

How do we love on Los Angeles? How do we love on the city? We are going to begin asking those questions again and in doing so we are determined to unite and find solutions. HISTORY:
In Feb 2015 TOGETHER LA hosted three days of workshops, networking sessions, inspirational speakers at a city-wide gathering for people who love Los Angeles. Together LA is tracking and resourcing a movement of pastor

s, church leaders and people of faith who love LA. Now and during the conference in 2015, we sought the betterment of our city. More than ten million people live in LA. Each day, they take to the freeways, get on bikes, step onto the Metro and move through, around and into the various communities that make up LA. In the midst of the clamor, the most respected, world-renowned stories are also meticulously crafted—and with them the promise of affluence and significance. But, perhaps this is only what LA projects onto the large and small screens, on the radio and through social media. Those who intimately know our city know the depth of this dynamic city, its challenges, as well as its possibilities. They know that Los Angeles is a gateway to a kaleidoscopic world of cultures—cultures full of promise. Our “City of Angels” possesses both a sense of immeasurable hope and utter brokenness. Right now, pastors and other faith leaders are coming together behind the scenes, with love for this city, to unite people from many walks of life. But that is only a start. We also want to inspire each community to become more than the hero in its own story. We want to connect pastors, churches, ministry leaders, and people of faith to something larger. For the city to truly seek and see peace, a robust weaving of life and community within all parts of the city will be required to create a vibrant tapestry of life where everyone, regardless of identity, social status, family background flourishes and people learn what it means to truly love LA. We want to see communities of faith:

*transforming the conditions of those living on the margins
*living missionally
*developing cross-cultural relationships

The vision doesn’t come without hurdles, but it does come with a pressing reality of what God is already doing to transform communities in LA. A behind-the-scenes force focused on following God’s work, not leading it, could further catalyze the impact of ministry workers and church leaders all over the city.

Meet With Love Market & Cafe — where fresh food, good jobs, and community all live under one roof. 🫶🥦

Over 10 years ago, a pastor moved to South LA and started noticing something painful: 4x higher rates of obesity and hypertension — driven by a lack of access to fresh, affordable food. After 5½ years of prayer, vision-casting, and partnership-building, With Love Market & Cafe opened in 2016 as a community-owned answer to that need.

And it's been feeding South LA ever since.

Here's what they do:

🛒 Community Grocery — locally-sourced fresh produce with SNAP/EBT programs and California-grown discounts
🚜 Farm Fresh LA — weekly produce distribution to three neighborhood markets, free with every $5 EBT transaction
☕ Café & Gathering Space — a safe third space for daily life, events, meetings, and celebrations
📚 Community Programs — financial literacy for kids, breathwork sessions, care boxes for families, and small business resources
🥗 Meal-Kits & Nutritional Education — partnering with schools and orgs to bring healthy food and education to the community

But what makes With Love truly different? They are community-owned and employee-owned — powered by the very people they serve.

Of the community. For the community. With love.

100,000+ neighbors served every year. And they are just getting started.

Together LA is honored to champion With Love Market & Cafe.

Meet Olive Crest — 50 years of showing up for children and families in crisis, and they are just getting started. 🌿

What began as a Foster Family Agency has grown into one of the most comprehensive child welfare organizations in the country — serving over 300,000 children and families to date across six regions in the US, with a goal to reach 1.2 million by 2030.

And they do it all as the hands and feet of Jesus.

Their programs in LA reach some of the most vulnerable people imaginable:
🏠 Foster Care — guiding families through licensing with support every step
🤝 Care Teams — 6–8 church volunteers walking alongside foster & adoptive families with meals, errands, prayer, and real relationship
🏘️ Transitional Housing — preventing homelessness for youth aging out of the system
🛡️ PROMiSE Initiative — a daily drop-in center in South LA for minors ages 12–24 impacted by s*xual exploitation
🌸 Sisterhood Sanctuary — housing for young women rescued from s*x trafficking
📚 Bellflower Resource Center — a safe space, food pantry, and daily programs for youth ages 12–24
And just recently — their Transforming Lives Campaign hit its financial goal, breaking ground on new transitional housing for youth aging out of foster care. 🏗️

We are so honored to champion Olive Crest through Together LA.

Foster the City has one primary ask — and it might be simpler than you think. 🏠

⛪ Connect your church
Know a pastor or church leader with a heart for foster care? Connect them to Foster the City Regional Director Dave Darjany → [email protected]. Everything Foster the City provides to churches is completely free. All they need is a church willing to say yes.

🏠 Become a foster family
Say yes to opening your home. Foster the City will connect you to a church community that will walk alongside you with practical and spiritual support every step of the way.

❤️ Give
Foster the City runs entirely on the generosity of donors who believe in "A Church for Every Child." Your gift helps them reach more churches, raise up more families, and place more children in loving homes.

Meet Foster the City — a movement born from one pastor asking one simple question. 🏠
"What can our church do?"

A social worker's reply changed everything: "This problem is bigger than one church. Do you know others who would get involved?"

That question sparked a national movement. And today, Foster the City is equipping churches across LA and Orange County — completely free — with the proven model, resources, and technology to raise up foster families and surround them with real, ongoing support from their church community.

Because DCFS has said it themselves: they cannot meet the need alone. The church is the answer. And Foster the City is building the bridge.

The numbers tell the story:
🏠 527 foster families raised up
🤝 1,874 support friends mobilized
👶 1,117 children placed in loving homes
⛪ 368 church partners nationwide

And one single foster mom recently adopted her 13th infant in 4 years — loved and celebrated every step of the way by her church family.

We are praying for the day when there is a waiting list of churches ready to care for a child — rather than a waiting list of children hoping for a family.

Think your church would be a great foster care ministry?
