Since 1994, InnerCity Struggle has worked with youth, families and community residents to promote safe, healthy and non-violent communities in the Eastside. We organize youth and families in Boyle Heights, unincorporated East Los Angeles, El Sereno and Lincoln Heights to work together for social and educational justice. InnerCity Struggle provides positive after-school programs for students to bec

ome involved in supporting our schools to succeed. We have empowered students to reach their family's dream of college. The work of InnerCity Struggle demonstrates that youth and parents working together are a powerful force for improving their communities and making real change. InnerCity Struggle has also educated and empowered thousands of Eastside voters to be heard at the ballot box on critical issues impacting our communities.

Community Herbal Studies Collective reminder!🌱🌼🍃
Our next session is scheduled for this upcoming Monday, June 8th, at 6 pm.

Thank you to everyone who has joined us and has made our collective studies sessions special!
Last month, through collective research, we got to know the wonders of ✨Nettle✨. Nettle is a powerful medicinal plant ally for many, acting as a mast cell stabilizer and possessing anti-inflammatory properties that may help support those with seasonal allergies and more!

Do you have a relationship with nettle? Share with us in the comments!

This is what people power does and looks like! ✊🏽
When we vote, and come together we take the power from the hands of billionaires and put it back to where it belongs, with us!

The city of Monterey Park in Los Angeles County became the first in the country to permanently ban data centers. This comes after another win in St. Charles, Missouri where residents fought against the Project Cumulus data center and the city council approved a moratorium.

The fight continues in Ohio, where organizers are aiming to get a constitutional data center ban on the ballot by November, and New York, where Governor Kathy Hochul could soon be responsible for signing a one year-moratorium.

Elections are over what now?! The momentum does not stop at elections‼️ We need to continue to inform, and organize community. We all want the same basics: to afford our lives, take care of our people, and have a real shot at the future. We exercise our power together in how we vote, what we support, and who we lift up. ✊🏽
.....
