Project by Project Los Angeles

Project by Project Los Angeles PbP LA is a national 501(c)(3) volunteer org that develops leaders through innovative philanthropy. PbP selects a different theme to champion from year to year.

Local chapters select a community-based non-profit organization that is focused on issues within that theme and tailors a year-long campaign to help its fundraising, community outreach and public awareness efforts. Fundraising

Our signature fundraising event is Plate by Plate, an annual tasting benefit featuring star chefs, top rated restaurants, and beverages from across the nation. 100% of the

net proceeds raised from Plate by Plate are remitted to our partner organization. Community Outreach
PbP’s projects are designed in cooperation with our partner, usually in direct response to a community need, and range from discrete one-day activities to ongoing service commitments. Through this effort, members develop and hone in on their skills that they can then apply into other aspects of their professional and personal lives. Public Awareness
PbP believes that empowerment cannot occur without an increased level of consciousness. The organization therefore strives to educate and bring about awareness to issues that impact the Asian American community. Providing Human Capital
Each campaign incorporates multiple components to channel attention and new capital to our partners’ efforts. Our human capital is our key strength, and our Committees, combined with decades of time- tested infrastructure, create solutions that best meet the needs of the community.

Get your popcorn ready, because the LA Asian Pacific Film Festival returns for its 42nd year! From April 29th to May 3rd, explore this year's selection of films, connect with filmmakers at industry panels, and celebrate AAPI storytelling.

These picks stood out to us, especially in how they highlight people showing up for their communities, with a few that take place right here in LA.

Which ones are you excited to see?

How much do you actually know about Little Tokyo? 👀

PbP-LA got a full walking tour from Bill at this month and learned about LA's first Japanese owned business, the neighborhood's transformation into "Bronzeville" during the Japanese incarceration, and the post war return and growth that followed. As a now popular tourist destination, it’s easy to forget the history that brought us here and the people that fought and still are fighting to preserve it.

It was a joy to learn, and this is exactly the kind of story we're here for. 💚

To learn more and take your own walking tour head over to ’s website and sign up for one of their tours!

PbP-LA is a non-profit that comes together to empower the Asian American community and develop the next generation of leaders.

Each year, we choose a social issue and collaborate with a suitable non-profit to raise awareness and expand fundraising. Proceeds from this year's AAPI 5K will go toward building and supporting LA's communities in action.
