This year the Texas Exes Los Angeles Chapter celebrates two Los Angeles hotspots.

We return to our longtime home Baja Sharkeez Hermosa Beach.

And we welcome The Penmar in Venice.

Let’s bring the energy of the game to our game watch locations!

Connor Kilpatrick (UT class of 2009) was recently interviewed about her job in the Los Angeles area working on Young Sheldon.

Thank you to Julie Salzman Kilpatrick for the heads up!

Hook ‘em to our 2026 - 2027 chapter board. This year our chapter board meetings are the first Monday of every month and are open to all. We will also have weekly office hours on Thursday from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm. Links in bio — including our WhatsApp Community Group.

We felt it fitting that the send-off included breakfast tacos and brisket. We’re mobilizing the Longhorns in the greater Los Angeles area on Monday, June 22, 2026 to give a proper hook ‘em to the students from the area attending the Forty Acres in the fall!

If you order in-person or online and use our code HOOKEM, part of your proceeds will support our chapter!

We will be congregating at the Playa Vista location from 6 pm to 8 pm!

We are excited to bring back one of our two signature programs for the Texas Exes LA Chapter with the tremendous support of our chapter board and this year’s incredible sponsors.

The 20th (not-so-annual) Texas Exes LA BBQ is Sunday, April 26, 2026 from 12 pm to 4 pm. On top of the delicious Texas-style BBQ provided by LA staple Bludso’s, the event will have a silent auction from lifestyle & wellness packages to two Cornholes perfect for a Texas tailgate in your backyard.

To help us maintain a headcount amidst the madness, always ask to be seated upstairs with the Texas Exes (or Texas Longhorns for March Madness) who have first dibs on the upstairs area.

10% of proceeds go towards our chapter when you catch the game at Tom’s Watch Bar in Downtown Los Angeles!
