🐾 MEET LEX (LEXI)! — A TEENAGE LEO LOOKING FOR HIS FOREVER FAMILY 🦁❤️

Meet Lex—also known as Lexi—a purebred Leonberger under two years old who is very much in the teenage stage of life! 😄

Lex is friendly with everyone, but he is also a big, enthusiastic young Leo who hasn’t quite mastered the art of “four paws on the floor and personal space, please.” 😉 He is looking for a family who will enjoy helping him become the wonderful adult Leo he is destined to be.

His new family will need to be committed to teaching him boundaries, self-control, better choices, and polite greetings—all those important life skills that turn a rambunctious teenage male leo into a well-mannered family member and neighborhood favorite. ❤️

Lex loves to swim and play ball and is currently doing well with dogs, horses, and older children. Because of his size and enthusiastic play style, small children are not a good match for him right now.

Lex has lived in a very rural setting, so his next home should be ready to help him experience more of the world—new people, places, situations, and everyday adventures—while teaching him how to navigate them politely in his very large Leonberger body!

He’s young, social, fun-loving, and full of potential. With the right family, patience, consistency, and continued training, Lex can grow into the amazing Leo companion we know he can be. 🦁❤️

🐾 Meet Barrett! 🐾

He is approximately 3½ years old and located in Idaho.

Barrett is a big, lovable Leo Wannabe who is looking for a home that understands just how much he wants to be part of his family’s life. ❤️

His family describes him as an absolute sweetheart with “not a mean bone in his body.” He loves dogs, cats, children, and everyone he meets. He is happy-go-lucky, non-reactive, affectionate, and happiest when he is with his people getting all the love and snuggles he can handle!

Barrett enjoys adventures, rides calmly in the car, loves the snow, and enjoys being around other dogs. His family originally adopted him hoping he would be an outdoor guardian dog, but they have learned that Barrett really wants something different—a home where he can be inside, included, loved, and cuddled.

He does have anxiety around thunder and gunshots, and unpredictable nearby gunfire has been particularly difficult for him.

His family has not had DNA testing done.
Whatever his DNA may say, this boy certainly seems to have the Leo-loving spirit! 🦁❤️

Sometimes the right forever home takes a little longer to find, and Zillow is ready to continue his search.

This handsome boy has been loved and cared for in his foster home, and we’re looking for the forever home that will be the right fit for him.

We have some wonderful news to share about our big, lovable boy, Zilly! 🐾

After spending some time in the care of LeoRescuePals, Zilly is heading to his foster-to-adopt home this week! 🎉

This sweet, fluffy guy has stolen plenty of hearts with his gentle nature, love of people, toy parades, and those wonderfully goofy Zilly antics. Now he gets the chance to settle into a home of his own and begin his next chapter. ❤️

His new family will be giving him the time, patience, routine, and care he needs as he adjusts—including continuing his important weight-management journey.

We are keeping our fingers and paws crossed that this is the forever home Zilly has been waiting for! 🥰

🎉 ARLO FOUND HIS FOREVER HOME! 🐾❤️

We are thrilled to share that our big-hearted boy Arlo went to his forever home this past weekend! 🏡

After spending some time in foster care, Arlo is now beginning the next chapter of his life. This sweet, sensitive boy has so much love to give, and we couldn’t be happier that he found people who understand him and are ready to give him the patience, guidance, and love he deserves.

We know there will be plenty of walks, adventures, cuddles, and—of course—supervising of all those important household projects! 😉

A huge thank you to Arlo’s amazing foster family for opening their home and helping him along the way. And thank you to everyone who shared his story, supported his journey, and helped us get him to this happy ending.

Now, Arlo, go enjoy that forever life! ❤️🐾

🐾 Meet Arlo! 🐾

Six years young, 162 pounds of love (though his vet says his healthiest weight is closer to 130), and a whole lot of Leonberger charm! 🤎

Leonberger Arlo is a handsome, neutered male who enjoys his walks. He is a gentleman on leash, calmly passing distractions without pulling.

Arlo is a sensitive boy who loves deeply. He responds beautifully to gentle guidance and positive reinforcement, and once he trusts you, you have a friend for life. He simply wants to be wherever his people are, whether that means joining an adventure or supervising household projects from the comfort of home. 😉

He has been wonderful with the run of the house in foster and has historically done well with professional grooming. He is still working on becoming more comfortable with having his paws handled, and his foster family has been helping him make progress.

✨ Arlo’s ideal home:
🏡 A loving, stable home with people who understand giant-breed needs
⚖️ A family committed to helping him reach and maintain a healthy weight
🐾 He would do well as an only dog or potentially with a smaller female dog
👧 He likes children of all ages

💙 Meet Zillow! 💙
(But please call him Zilly, Zilla, Zillow, or Ziller. “Godzilla” apparently isn’t his favorite!)

At 155 pounds of fluffy sweetness, Zillow is a Leonberger/Mastiff-ish gentleman whose favorite activities are being loved, carrying toys around, keeping an eye on his people, and rolling happily in the grass. 🧸🌱

Zillow is an absolute LOVEBUG. He wants to be near his people and believes every pair of hands should be available for petting. He especially enjoys carrying his squeaky toys around for everyone to admire—rubber honking pigs are a particular favorite! 🐷

Despite his size, Zillow is surprisingly easy to live with. He has excellent house manners, is doing wonderfully in his XL crate, walks nicely on leash, and has shown very little prey drive. He responds well to gentle guidance and has proven to be an adaptable, quick learner.

Zillow is also on an important health journey. He currently weighs about 153 pounds, with a goal of approximately 130–135 pounds. Maintaining a healthy weight, providing appropriate low-impact exercise, and staying committed to his well being will be essential to this big guy.

He also has some separation anxiety and can be nervous at the vet. His forever family will need to be patient and willing to help him build confidence through routine, consistency, and positive experiences.

ZILLY IS EIGHT YEARS OLD, ENJOYS THE COMPANY OF OTHER DOGS, AND IS LOCATED IN IOWA.

✨ What Zillow is looking for:
A loving, stable home with people who understand the needs of a giant breed, will keep him at a healthy weight, and give him the time and reassurance he needs to settle into his new life.

Hans Update! 🐾❤️

We have another wonderful update on our handsome Bay Area “Leo wannabe,” Hans!

Hans has settled in beautifully with his FOREVER FAMILY, and it looks like he has officially mastered one of the most important skills of all: being completely comfortable at home! 🥰

Just look at this boy, peacefully resting like he has always belonged there. 🛋️🐶

From a young stray with an uncertain future, to foster care, and now happily settled into his forever home—this is exactly the kind of transformation we love to see.

And as always, thank you to our amazing rescue community for helping make happy endings like Hans’s possible. From the people who help dogs when they are first found, to our fosters, volunteers, supporters, and adopters—you are all part of the journey. ❤️
