Hey Hey Hey everyone!

This is a reminder that our camp applications are currently open, and it will be July 6-10th! We still have a few spots available before our waitlist starts so make sure to apply soon!

Camp Kesem is a FREE summer camp for kids ages 6-18 who have been affected by their parents' cancer. Every camper's story is different, and our goal at camp is to provide a fun, empowering environment where our campers feel supported and know that they are never alone.

As a reminder, the enrollment platform has changed this year so please visit https://kesem.campmanagement.com/p/request_for_info_m.php?action=enroll and create a new account. Then enroll using https://kesem.campmanagement.com/p/campers/login_m.php . All families must have an account in CampSite to register for camp and all other Kesem programming.

Hey hey hey Kesem Families Happy Giving Tuesday!!!

For 25 years, Kesem has been committed to creating supportive communities and transformative experiences for children who have been affected by their parent’s cancer.
We aim to bring children together who uniquely understand each other, through building a community that lasts for life. This we can !

This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and truly anything helps. This includes simply sharing the link even if you can’t donate.

Hey Hey Hey Kesem Families!

We hope that everyone has been doing well! We are so excited for Friends and Family Day which is now less than two weeks away. At this event, campers will get to experience what day in the life of camp is like while parents will be able to partake in their own programming!
We are also excited to announce that the theme for this year is the Olympics - hence the outdoor activities! Another reminder that some activities for kids will be outdoors so please make sure they are well equipped.

Good morning Camper Families,
We just wanted to check in for a quick, important update regarding Friends and Family Day!

Our Fall FFD will be held on November 16th from 9am-3pm!

Our original post stated the incorrect time for camper families as that time frame is actually for our volunteers. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused!

We welcome returning and prospective camper families to FFD so feel free to invite anyone who may be a potential camper family and have them fill out the form! Also, please note that parent supervision and attendance is mandatory. As a reminder, campers will have some outdoor activities and an image is attached to this email of what they should bring. Hey Hey Hey Kesem Families,
We have some updates of what we've been up to and some upcoming events!

Friends and Family Day!
We're excited to announce that our Fall FFD is officially confirmed for November 16th from 7:30am-3:30pm! Friends and Family Day is a great opportunity for campers to experience a day in the life of camp as well as for parents to partake in a special program! It'll be held on campus at UH and more information will be sent out as we get closer to the date! For now, here's what your campers should bring as there will be outdoor activities.

Please also fill out this form as soon as possible ( https://forms.gle/Khg2JzTEo7UqtQmN6 ) so we can get a good estimate on parking. Parking will be covered and free for all camper families! We are so excited to meet you guys and have many fun activities planned out - for campers and parents alike!

Chapter Updates:
Jollibee Profit Share
We're going to have a profit share with Jollibee on October 18th from 7am-10pm! (8001 S Main St #100, Houston, TX 77025) A flyer is attached. You would have to dine in as well as mention Kesem when you order. It'll be a great opportunity to spread Kesem love and magic while eating good food at the same time. We're going to have monthly profit shares with Jollibee so be on the lookout in our update emails and please help us spread the word!

GYRIG 5k Run/Walk
We were given the opportunity to table at the annual Get Your Rear in Gear event! This event will take place on November 10th, and this foundation is directed towards supporting colon cancer individuals.

No child should have to face a parent's cancer alone, and at Kesem, they don't have to. Kids come together to cultivate and strengthen enduring community connections that last through and beyond their parent's cancer.
