We’re so grateful for the teachers who welcome JEP into their classrooms and support not only their own students, but our USC students as they learn, grow and find their place as educators and mentors.

JEP lately… while our PAs just got done training their students and assembling mini-teams yesterday, our USC Trojan Health Volunteers had their big little reveal on Friday, our USC ReadersPlus had their first new tutor training on Saturday, and our JEP STEM Education Programs have started assembling 70+ WonderKids packets being sent out to all of our participating families in the community soon! Can’t wait to see what else this semester has in store ☺️

Alumni Appreciation Alert or Angela Appreciation Alert… ¿por qué no los dos?

Angela, one of our wonderful alumni and former JEP Program Assistants recently sent us this amazing picture of her wearing her JEP shirt posing with her new students. We asked her for an update of what she’s been doing since graduation and how JEP has guided her in her journey, and this was her answer:

“I am currently a Fulbright ETA in Taichung, Taiwan! My time with JEP, both as a volunteer and a Program Assistant, deepened my passion for teaching and community engagement. It also showed me just how much fun and fulfillment I find in working with younger students, which ultimately brought me to Taiwan!”

It’s TRAINING WEEK - whoop whoop! Our service-learning students will have trainings all week and our USC ReadersPlus tutors will have their first training on Saturday. If you are a service-learner, keep checking the board on the JEPorch for the location of your training ☺️
