The Hollywood Community Job Center (HCJC): Located at the East Hollywood area, HCJC was founded sixteen years ago by the city of Los Angeles, and operated by IDEPSCA (Instituto de Educacion Popular del Sur de California) a non-profit organization. The center functions as a public safety alternative to soliciting employment on the street corners; these centers help protect day laborers from sufferi

ng severe exploitation and unsafe work conditions. How we work: The Hollywood Community Job Center provides honest, organized, and respectful workers to do the job that may be required from an employer. HCJC follows a registration system to distribute jobs, but employers are free to choose any worker in particular. Type of Skills/ Jobs:
•Construction
•Painting
•Roofing
•Drywall
•Repairs
•Moving
•Loading
•Unloading
•Gardening
•Cleaning
•General Labor

*Pay rate based of job skill (estimates available)

Business Hours: Tuesday to Saturday from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm
If you need workers for the Sundays or Mondays, you may call ahead to arrange workers needed.

El 5 de Julio, una segunda redada se llevo acabo en el home depot de Van Nuys donde tambien esta localizado el centro de trabajadores de Van Nuys. Con algunos otros compañeros se llevaron a Ofilio Antonio Cornejo mejor conocido como "El Capitan".

On July 5th, a second immigration raid took place at the Van Nuys Home Depot, in California where we have a Day Labor Center. Among the day laborers taken was 𝐎𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐨 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐨 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐣𝐨, better known as "El Capitan." We need your support to contact his family who we heard lives in Houston, Texas.
