The Grammys stage witnessed a powerful celebration of Caribbean excellence again this year!

The evening belonged to Puerto Rican, Bad Bunny, who brought home 3 awards with one making history as his album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos”, (I Should Have Taken More Photos) becoming the first Spanish language to win the coveted Album of the Year in Grammy history.
Bad Bunny took this opportunity to remind everyone that Puerto Ricans are American citizens and that love is more powerful than hate. 🇵🇷

This year also saw other remarkable artists with Caribbean heritage. Congratulations to Jolene Mendes 🇹🇹who clinched Best Music Video for Doechi’s “Anxiety,” Break out star, Olivia Dean for Best New Artist🇯🇲🇬🇾and to Kwamé Ryan 🇹🇹, who won the Best Opera Recording award for “Heggie: Intelligence.” Kwame Ryan’s win marks a double milestone: he is not only the first Grammy-winning music director of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, but also the first person of color to hold that position.

And in the world of reggae, Keznamdi🇯🇲captured the Best Reggae Album, further solidifying the Caribbean’s influence across genres and generations.
