Century City Ski Club (“CCSC”) is a non-profit organization which was formed in 1972 to offer members the opportunity to ski with others of similar interest and ability (from first-time skiers to seasoned skiers, from beginning level to advanced racers and from cruisers to hot-doggers). CCSC is a member of the L.A. Council of Ski Clubs, Far West Ski Association, and Ullr League for ski racing. Dur
ing the season, CCSC runs numerous bus trips to Mammoth that coincide with Ullr Race dates and additional trips to destination resorts. While snow skiing was the original bond that linked our members, CCSC has, from inception, participated in a myriad of other social activities and sporting events. Regularly scheduled sporting activities include Hydrofoiling (AirChair or Sky Ski), Beach Volleyball, Bicycling, Softball and Water-skiing. Annual events include the Installation and Awards Banquet, Solvang Bike Ride, CCSC at the Hollywood Bowl, End of Summer Party, Monte Carlo Night, the Service Auction, “Pray for Snow” Winter Kick-off Party, and other parties. In addition, CCSC occasionally schedules Beach Parties, Bowling, Camping, Concerts, Happy Hour Get Togethers, Hiking, Horseback Riding, Professional Sporting Events, River-Rafting Trips, Rock-climbing/Mountaineering Trips, Rollerblading outings and Scuba Diving Excursions. CCSC is more than just a social club. Since we are a part of the community, we give back what we can to society by supporting Junior Racers, Handicapped Skiers, Cancer Research, Cleaning our Highways, Toys-for-Tots, food drives for the homeless, singing at hospitals, City of Hope and more.
