Back in July, East Valley Animal Shelter put Orange Bang (A2283583) and Fanta (A2283584) on the euthanasia list. They came in underweight and sick, they weren’t eating, and they were scared of everyone.

Three months later, their foster family describes them as bright, social, mischievous kittens. One minute they’re piled together in their favorite spot in the tree house, and the next they’re wrestling and tearing around the house. They’re growing up alongside an adult cat and a dog, and everyone gets along.

Both boys bounced back from their neuter surgery like nothing happened... a good nap and a meal and they were back to themselves. Fanta still sneezes now and then, but it’s only him and there’s no discharge. Overall they’re doing great.

Their foster family is still considering adoption. They’re taking it slow and checking in with their older resident cat to make sure he’s comfortable with two kittens joining the family for good. 💜

🐾 Have a bathroom or spare room in California, Arizona, or Nevada? You can save a cat's life.

Ringworm isn't deadly. It's a treatable fungal skin infection. But it spreads to people and other pets, and treatment takes weeks. Shelters don't have the space to isolate these cats that long, so many of them get euthanized for something that heals.

That's where you come in. 💜 A closed-off room in your home gives a cat the time and space to recover. We provide the medication and teach you how to treat it, so you're not figuring it out alone.

Dandelion Update 🥰

Our precious Dandelion has made his way to Las Vegas, & we couldn’t be happier knowing he’s being so well loved & cared for!

Dandelion has been enjoying dedicated one-on-one snuggles right in bed with his new bunmom, getting all the love & attention he could ask for. He absolutely loves his cozy cuddle time, & we’re so happy he’s getting the chance to relax, feel safe, & be spoiled like he deserves.

Our sweet Sunny is living proof that a big personality is something to celebrate. She’s full of energy & super playful. She’s not afraid to bring the chaos, keep everyone on their toes, & remind the world that she’s here to have fun!

Sunny is scheduled to be spayed on the 14th, once she’s spayed she’ll be ready to find her forever home. Birch is still waiting for a home.

Many of our rabbits are happily bonded pairs. Birch would rather be separate from other bunnies for now. He may warm up to a friend with time, but for the moment he wants a space of his own, regular playtime, and a person who shows up with snacks and snuggles.

Day to day, he runs up for pets and then takes off to explore. He does skips, binkies and full speed laps, then flops over for a nap because he wore himself out. For a bun with this much energy, he likes snuggles and kisses more than you'd expect 💜

He's a harlequin boy who's potty trained, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. We're open to long term foster, foster to adopt, or adoption. He comes with all his supplies, and we provide transport anywhere in California, Arizona and Nevada.

If you’re in Arizona, we’re headed your way next week. 🐾

We’re a Southern California animal rescue, and we’re driving to AZ to visit our fosters and volunteers there. There’s room in the car, so we want to bring more animals along to new foster and adoptive homes.

SoCal shelters are full and euthanizing at high rates. Every bunny, cat, dog or guinea pig placed in Arizona opens a foster spot back home, which means we can pull those needing urgent placement out of shelters or off the streets before it’s too late.

Sparkle has until 5pm today. She’s a 7-month-old orange tabby at Moreno Valley Animal Shelter, and she’s had diarrhea since she came in on September 2. The shelter treated her for coccidia more than once and it still hasn’t cleared up. Her sister Twinkle had the same issue and got adopted this week, so Sparkle’s on her own now.

She still eats well, still plays, and still leans into every ear rub. She also weighs 3.1 lbs, which is small for her age. She needs diagnostics and a quiet place to recover, not more time in a kennel.

We’re working to pull her today. The hard part is the vet bill. We’ve taken on a lot of medical cases lately, including one we haven’t posted about yet (that story’s coming soon), and our vet budget is emptied the moment funds come in. Donations free us to cover Sparkle’s exam, testing, and treatment immediately at intake without turning away the next animal who needs us - whether that’s someone urgently needing medical care from the 200+ we support, or medical care to support a new intake coming in to our rescue.

In July, a striped tabby named Katie (ID A2270218) was days from euthanasia at East Valley Animal Shelter. She'd been adopted and returned twice for biting and scratching when she got overstimulated, and the shelter's notes said she needed someone experienced.

We pulled her on her last available date. Before we could even get her to an emergency foster, her furever family found her. She did bite and scratch in those first couple of days, after a loud noise scared her. Her mom gave her a short timeout to decompress, and they went right back to snuggling.

They named her Yuuki, which means "courage." ✨

Two months later, her mom says she's lost every trace of the aggression the shelter wrote her up for. She naps on her mom whenever she's home, plays with a catnip bunny (the first thing that finally got her playing), and avoids heights so much her family asks her if she knows she's a cat. 💜

Shelters label cats like Yuuki aggressive when they're scared, overstimulated, or never learned to trust people. Most of them need time and a quiet home, not a euthanasia date.

Yew is 2.5 years old, a little aloof, and full of flouncy 'tude... the kind of sassy girl who decides when you're her person and then sticks with you.

She'll snuggle when she's in the mood, but if it comes down to cuddles or snacks, she's already picked snacks. Yew gets along with cats, and needs a dedicated space of her own without another bunny for the first little while to adjust to a new household.

She's spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, and we'll transport her with the supplies she needs anywhere in California, Arizona, or Nevada. 💜
