This week, we had the privilege of visiting Palolo Elementary School in Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi, a school serving many families from the neighboring public housing community.
During our visit, we learned about the school’s dream of growing its after-school soccer clinic to once a week. The interest from the students is there, but they needed durable soccer balls and equipment to make that vision possible.
The staff member we coordinated this delivery with also shared that, through her friendships with collegiate soccer coaches, she hopes to continue bringing them out to surprise, mentor, and inspire the students during the clinic. With the right equipment in place, that vision can continue to grow.
When we heard about their need, we knew we wanted to help.
Together, we delivered indestructible One World Play Project soccer balls that will be used for PE classes, recess, and the after-school soccer clinic. Built to last up to 20 years without needing a pump, these balls will support years of play while helping the school expand its program and create more opportunities for children to learn, grow, and build confidence through soccer.
One of the most meaningful parts of the day was seeing how something as simple as a soccer ball can bring people together. Though our communities are separated by an ocean, we’re connected by a shared belief that every child deserves the opportunity to play, belong, and dream.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support our mission. Every SOAR Jewels purchase and donation helps us respond when communities share a need. Together, we’re proving that the power of play knows no distance, bringing communities together, one soccer ball at a time. 🌺💚⚽
