Something important is coming.

For years, FEAST has walked alongside families navigating food insecurity, chronic stress, and barriers to health. Now, we’re preparing something built specifically for mothers during one of the most vulnerable seasons of life: pregnancy.

Strong Mothers, Healthy Beginnings is almost here.

A new program rooted in nutrition, community, education, and care that sees the whole person, not just the symptoms.

More soon. 💛

Healthy beginnings start long before birth. 💛

This June, FEAST is preparing to share something deeply important to our community.

More soon.

“I know families will have food at home.
That’s why I volunteer.”

For Carmen, volunteering is about something very real.

Making sure families don’t have to live with the uncertainty of “there’s nothing.”

At FEAST, that support shows up through food, connection, and people who care enough to be there for each other.

Because community is how we make everyday life more stable, and more human.

The most vulnerable months of a mother’s life are when the conditions around her matter most.

What’s in the fridge.
Whether there’s somewhere to go each week.
Whether there’s a room full of people who know her name.

We’ve been building something.

It’s designed for mothers navigating one of the hardest periods of their lives.

We’re almost ready to share it.

Maternal mortality in the U.S. is nearly three times higher than in other wealthy nations, and more than 80% of those deaths are preventable.

What drives these outcomes is not abstract. It is access to nutrition, chronic stress, and social isolation.

These are not outside the reach of community programs. They are exactly where community programs can make a difference.

At FEAST, we work at that level by building support, connection, and practical skills that change everyday life.

People walk into an Open Class Visit expecting to observe.

They leave asking a different question. Why doesn’t more of community health look like this?

A room where people are known.
Where food, learning, and conversation happen at the same time.

This is what community health looks like when it works.

Open Class Visits continue next week.
