Following the devastation in the Northern Mariana Islands caused by Super Typhoon Sinlaku in April, Episcopal Relief & Development partnered with CORE and St. Paul's Episcopal Church on Saipan to provide a second round of Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) to impacted families in early June.

In the wake of a disaster, families can face urgent and often overwhelming financial burdens. Recurring expenses like groceries and rent don't pause during times of crisis. Moreover, disasters often introduce new and unexpected costs, such as temporary housing, repairs, and medical expenses. CVA provides targeted financial support to help offset these immediate needs.

In Haiti, mangroves are more than trees — they're habitats, protection, and hope for the future.

Nearly 100 community members recently came together to plant 40,000 indigenous white and gray mangrove seedlings across nearly 25 acres of land. That's neighbors showing up for their coastlines, their ecosystems, and each other.

Months after Hurricane Melissa, families in Jamaica are still surrounded by debris and struggling to rebuild.

CORE first responded in the country following Hurricane Beryl in 2024 and once again in response to Melissa. Our debris removal program not only helps clear neighborhoods; it also has the added benefit of giving income-generating opportunities to community members who want to join the recovery efforts.
