Young Breast Cancer Survivorship Program

Young Breast Cancer Survivorship Program Addressing the unique gaps in services that exist for young breast cancer survivors through regional resources and psychosocial support/education.

Younger women with breast cancer face a variety of unique challenges associated with being diagnosed with cancer at a young age. Specifically, we focus on age-related survivorship concerns, such as greater psychosocial distress - depression, cognitive changes, sexuality & intimacy, career changes - as well as unique health conditions such as premature menopause and infertility. The YBCS program se

Are you a young survivor of breast cancer? Would you like to consider participating in a UCLA research study that focuses on wellness after breast cancer?

UCLA is conducting a study to examine two group programs for young breast cancer survivors: Mindfulness-meditation classes and Survivorship education classes. We would like to compare these two group programs on meeting the common needs of young survivors.

You may be eligible to participate if you were diagnosed with breast cancer at age 50 or younger and are within 5 years of your diagnosis.

If you are interested in participating or would like more information, please contact the study staff at: (310) 825-2520
