Junior Achievement of Southern California

Junior Achievement of Southern California Using integrated learning models focused on career readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literac

Imagine a generation of students armed with the confidence and understanding to take control of their futures and be equipped to achieve their dreams. We are working to give our region’s youth the hope to see a brighter future and the skills to answer the demands of the 21st-century economy with “I can.” In partnership with the education and business communities, Junior Achievement is transforming

the student experience by bringing relevance, authenticity, and application into everyday learning to energize students about their future possibilities. Using integrated learning models focused on career readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy, we’re bridging the gap between what students learn in the classroom and the real world. We work to empower the next generation with the knowledge, capacity, and motivation to thrive and build a better future for themselves and their community. JASoCal offers K-12th grade programs in class and virtually. Learn more about in-class programs, JA Finance Park, and 3DE Schools by visiting our website at www.jasocal.org

Strong organizations don't just invest in programs. They invest in the people who make those programs possible.

Earlier this month, Our JASoCal team stepped away from our daily routines to reflect, collaborate, and think strategically about how we can continue expanding our impact across Southern California.

In our latest blog, President & CEO Les McCabe shares why creating opportunities for connection and strategic thinking is essential to building stronger teams and advancing our mission.

What an inspiring morning at Inspired to Hired: Celebrating our 3DE partners and participants.

Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday to celebrate the partnerships, educators, volunteers, and students helping bring real-world learning to life through the 3DE Schools education model.

Want to learn more about the event and the impact of these partnerships? Read our recap blog: https://jasocal.org/inspired-to-hired-celebrating-the-power-of-3de-partnerships-and-real-world-learning/

A special thank you to Deloitte and Donte for hosting us in your incredible space overlooking SoFi Stadium.

We’re grateful to our panelists for sharing their insight and experiences:
• Donte Apperwhite – Case challenge partner, Deloitte
• Ruby Barrios – Case Challenge Supporter, Team One
• Daniel Dunn – Educator, 3DE at Centennial High School

And heartfelt thanks to our wonderful emcee and 3DE alumna, Kaihla Rivas, for guiding the morning with authenticity, energy, and care. We are so incredibly proud of her continued accomplishments.

One of the highlights of the event was hearing from student speaker Lonnie during a meaningful conversation with Kaihla about confidence, opportunity, and the impact of career-connected learning.

We were also proud to recognize our partnering organizations from this year who are helping shape and sustain this work, including our founding partners, Delta, Deloitte, Gensler, KPMG, and McCarthy Cook.

Thank you for believing in students, investing in possibility, and helping us continue building pathways from inspiration to opportunity. If your company is interested in investing in education in a deeply meaningful way, we are ready to show you how. Please contact Alex Rojas at [email protected]
