The Board of Governors is a community of philanthropic leaders who support Cedars-Sinai’s foremost clinical programs, biomedical research, and community outreach. The current fundraising campaign benefits the Board of Governors Heart Stem Cell Center in the top-ranked Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute led by Eduardo Marbán, MD, PhD. The 2011 Board of Governors Gala was held on November 8 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel where BOG members, community leaders, and philanthropists gathered to honor Barbra Streisand with a Humanitarian Award and Robert Barth with a Philanthropic Leadership Award. Guests were treated to special performances by Kenny G and Marvin Hamlisch.
