We had an incredible time at our Hermosa Beach Fundraiser and are so grateful to everyone who joined us in supporting Better Youth and the young people we serve. 💙
From meaningful conversations to community connections, the event was a wonderful reminder of what’s possible when people come together to invest in the next generation of creative talent.

Mental health matters — especially for youth navigating foster care, transition, and everyday life challenges. This month, we’re raising awareness, sharing warning signs to look out for, and reminding young people that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
Youth in foster care experience mental health challenges at significantly higher rates, which is why support systems, safe spaces, and honest conversations are so important.
If you or someone you know is struggling, you are not alone. Resources and support are available 24/7. Together, we can break the stigma and create communities where healing, support, and hope are possible. 💚

✨ OUR FIRST INSPIRE WEEK OF THE YEAR ✨
What an incredible week of growth, connection, and creativity at Better Youth! 🎬💚

Throughout Inspire Week, our youth had the opportunity to participate in workshops, hear from industry professionals, build community, and explore new paths within the creative economy. From meaningful conversations during InspireChats to learning valuable life and career skills, every moment was filled with inspiration and motivation.

We were honored to welcome amazing guest speakers from the entertainment industry who shared their journeys, advice, and encouragement with our youth. The week wrapped up with an in-person Open House where participants connected, created, and celebrated together.

Thank you to everyone who helped make our first Inspire Week of the year such a success our staff, speakers, partners, and especially our youth for showing up with passion and curiosity. This is only the beginning! ✨
