Hey everyone 🐹🤍 I’m a new guinea pig owner and would really appreciate some guidance!
I’ve got these two little ones set up in a cozy enclosure with a cardboard hideout, and they seem comfortable—one likes to sit on top while the other chills inside. They’re eating and moving around, but since I’m new, I keep worrying I might miss something important about their health.
For experienced owners:
What are the most common health problems in guinea pigs that I should be aware of?
Are there early warning signs I should watch for—like changes in eating, behavior, breathing, or p**p?
Also, how do you keep your guinea pigs healthy day-to-day?
Any must-do habits (diet, cleaning routine, nail trimming, vet checks, etc.) that really make a difference?
I want to make sure I’m doing everything right from the start and giving them a happy, healthy life. Any tips or personal experiences would mean a lot 🙏🐹
