WISE LA was able to bring members of our WISE LA U cohort and Jerilyn Jones Scholarship applicants to the USA Basketball Women in the Game Conference at UCLA this past weekend.

Women in the Game is designed to expose emerging women to the many career paths available across sports, while creating opportunities to learn directly from industry professionals, ask questions, and build meaningful connections.

Our group spent the day learning, networking, and connecting with one another. They sat together, discovered shared interests, asked thoughtful questions, and left the conference talking about next steps, future opportunities, and how they can continue supporting one another.

That is the impact we hope to create through WISE LA Member Programs: access to the room, connection once you are there, and relationships that continue long after the event ends.

Thank you to USA Basketball for creating such an engaging experience and welcoming our WISE LA community, and to Downy Unstopables for helping provide additional access for our Jerilyn Jones Scholarship applicants.

Life is SUITE-er with an amazing network 🏀✨
WISE LA’s Executive Women of Color came together for a night of connection, community and Sparks basketball.

We kicked off the evening with our “Spark a Conversation” networking experience, creating space to meet someone new, reconnect with familiar faces and strengthen relationships across the industry before cheering on the LA Sparks together.

And we couldn’t have picked a more meaningful night to be in the building 💜

Ten years after Nneka Ogwumike hit the championship-clinching shot that brought the 2016 WNBA title to Los Angeles, we had the privilege of witnessing the final game of her remarkable WNBA career.

A full-circle LA sports moment, shared with an incredible community of women.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening so special — and to AEG and Levy for helping us create another space for women to connect, grow and thrive in sports.

Soccer, connection and a whole lot of WISE women. ⚽💙 What a night at BMO Stadium!

WISE Los Angeles teamed up with Angel City FC for an evening celebrating women in sports, community and connection, with two opportunities for our WISE LA community to connect and enjoy the night.

Members of our WISE LA Executive Programs joined Amy Taylor, CEO of Angel City FC, for a conversation about leadership, her career and the continued growth of women’s sports.

WISE LA members and guests also came together for Match Night, cheering on Angel City FC against Seattle Reign and connecting with fellow members and supporters. Even better, $11 from every WISE LA ticket purchased was donated back to WISE LA, supporting programs that empower, develop and elevate women across sports and events.

A huge thank you to Angel City FC and Amy Taylor for welcoming WISE LA and helping make the evening so special.

Great conversations, great connections, and a great night of soccer. We’ll call that a win.
