A few months ago, one of our Early Childhood families hosted their very first Shabbat dinner. As candles flickered and unfamiliar blessings filled Emma & Frankie's home, they felt something they didn't expect: grounding, connection, and intention.

Emma wrote: "The J has been a real moral compass for my family."

Her family isn't Jewish, they chose JCamp for its warmth and thoughtful programming. What they found was so much more.

At JCamp, values like joy, community, creativity, respect, and growth aren't just words. You see them in how campers sing and dance, try new things, and especially in how they care for one another.

We're in a final push to raise funds before camp kicks off in just a few weeks. Your support creates the space where these experiences are possible and ensures more children can grow up with these values at the center of their lives.

We've reimagined the garden space in our Early Childhood Center into a welcoming, vibrant outdoor space for playing, learning, gathering, and soaking up the LA sun!

Dan didn’t grow up going to summer camp. He found it later, after coming to the United States for college, when he took a job as a counselor at an outdoor adventure camp. There, he met people who shared his interests, welcomed him as he was, and helped him feel at home in a new country. That experience changed his life and eventually led him to JCamp, where he has worked for the past six years as assistant director of camp and family programs.

At JCamp, we believe every child deserves to feel like they belong, exactly as they are. That sense of belonging is at the heart of everything we do, especially for kids who may not feel at home elsewhere. Whether a child is neurodivergent, navigating social challenges, or still searching for their place, there is space for them here.

Last year, 17% of campers had a disability, 32% spoke a language other than English at home, and 15% received scholarships. Inclusion isn’t just a value — it’s something we practice every day.
