You may have seen some new faces around the J lately. Please join us in welcoming and celebrating some wonderful new team members! 👋

Dr. Ellie Blacker joins as our Inclusion & Community Care Manager, bringing a doctorate in occupational therapy and a passion for supporting neurodiverse children and families.

Jacqui Jacobs joins as our new Co-Development Director alongside Emma Arias. Jacqui was previously the Board President at Temple Beth Am and brings deep roots within the LA Jewish community.

Rani Mordechai joins as our Shinshinit, a young Israeli spending the year with our community through our partnership with the Jewish Agency for Israel.

Yvonne Reed joins as our new Accounting Specialist, bringing a sharp eye for detail and genuine warmth to our finance team.

Welcome to the J! 💙

Our Shinshinit Rani put together a moving display for our J to commemorate the events of and after October 7th. She has poured extraordinary thought, heart and emotion into the beautiful and heartbreaking memorial she has created (located past the art room in the northern end of the building).

Members & guests of the J are welcome to visit the memorial display and take a moment to remember, to reflect, and to hold close the lives lost, the lives forever changed, and all those who continue to carry the pain of October 7.

Rani, thank you for giving our community such a powerful and deeply personal way to remember.

May the memories of all those lost be a blessing, and may all those who continue to carry the wounds of that day find strength, healing and resilience.

What a night at the J this was!

Norman Fox & the Rob Roys absolutely rocked the house! We turned back the clock and danced to classics all night with stories from the NY street corners in between sets from Norman (plus a special vocal appearance from his daughter Kim), the The Dukes of Doo W*p, and Jann Karam!

Thanks again to all who were a part of it. We hope you enjoyed as much as we did! 🕺✨🎶
