AWFC MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: A Q&A with Kara Talve

“Russell Emanuel, score producer and boss of all things creative at Bleeding Fingers, began hearing some of my work. Thankfully he liked what he heard and invited me to join the roster as a composer. Eight years later, it’s still surreal to say I’ve gone from assistant to Principal Composer and VP of Creative Development. The mentorship I received here is something | try to pay forward with every apprentice who comes through the doors. Bleeding Fingers has always been about developing talent. The goal isn’t to keep assistants as assistants. It’s to help them become composers.”

AWFC MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: A Q&A with Caitlin Perry

“To me, community is about lifting each other up, celebrating one another’s successes, and creating spaces where everyone feels encouraged to grow. The relationships I’ve built have shaped my career just as much as any class or project. Ultimately, my dream is to build a career collaborating with passionate storytellers to create music that allows people to truly feel something. I think that’s the power of film music, to connect with people emotionally long after they’ve left the cinema.”

To read more about Caitlin check out the AWFC Composer Spotlight link in our bio.
