To our SoCalBio member community,
It is with great sadness that we write to inform you of the recent passing of our Founder Ahmed Enany. Ahmed passed away on March 22nd and died at the young age of 68.

His passing, which has been emotionally devastating to all of us, is also a great loss for our at large professional community. However, Ahmed built a strong, expansive, and vibrant ecosystem for life sciences in Southern California, and it is the council’s intention to continue with Ahmed’s work and grow the organization.

SoCalBio’s efforts to support and service our biotechnology community will continue unabated, and we look forward to working with all of our colleagues to preserve and build upon his amazing and important legacy.
