📣The event uplifted the true conditions faced by Filipino women, their campaigns for a better livelihood, and our collective fight to win genuine women's liberation through National Democracy and socialism in the Philippines!

📣ICYMI: As part of the ILPS, BAYAN, ICHRP Week of Action, GAB LA mobilized to San Diego to protest the RIMPAC war exercises that take place every 2 years in Hawaii. Present organizations connected migrant, worker, &veteran struggles to the fight against US-led war and imperialism.

RIMPAC not only destroys the surrounding environment but actively terrorizes the people of the world. Around military bases and during these exercises, incidents of violence, exploitation, & trafficking of women skyrockets. Gender and sexual oppression are a vile symptom of US imperialist domination. GABRIELA Los Angeles vehemently opposes the deployment of the BRP Gabriela Silang, a highly advanced offshore patrol vessel (OPV) of the Philippine Coast Guard, for these destructive RIMPAC war exercises. It is a clear bastardization of GABRIELA's revolutionary namesake & an insult to Filipina women everywhere.

Through collusion with the Marcos regime, the US uses the PH as a military launching pad in the US's mounting war against China. Initiatives like Pax Silica displace communities to make way for exploitative war manufacturing. In the crossfire are the Filipino people struggling for a better livelihood, amidst rising counterinsurgency and fascist attacks by the NTF-ELCAC and the AFP, who indiscriminately killed the Negros 19.

🗣️Who does the government prioritize? The people, or its imperialist interests? While ICE terrorizes our communities and the US Congress proposes $1.5T for war, what the people really demand are public programs like healthcare, education, transportation, housing, libraries, & the end to our oppression, exploitation, and forced migration!

✊End RIMPAC!
✊US Out of the Philippines!
✊Long live international solidarity!
✊Take up the fight for National Democracy and socialism in the Philippines!

GABRIELA Los Angeles calls for Hands Off Nadia Topete!

Nadia Topete is a Chicana migrants organizer with Centro CSO who was subpoenaed and ordered to appear before a grand jury later today for their work in protecting community members from ICE in LA last year.

The DOJ and Trump administration are targeting Nadia and organizations like Centro CSO as a means of injecting more fear into our communities and scaring us into silence, which will NOT happen.

We have seen this happen before in the US and back home in the Philippines, where the US-backed Marcos Jr regime most recently killed the Negros 19 for their community organizing work.

But we fight on together, and call upon our communities and allies to join the ILPS Solidarity Contingent today to support Centro CSO's press conference and rally in defense of Nadia as well as all migrant and anti-imperial organizers and our communities!

ACTIVISM IS NOT A CRIME! HANDS OFF NADIA!

📣ICYMI: On July 4th, GAB LA mobilized with the ILPS & BAYAN SoCal contingent to uplift 250 years of ongoing peoples resistance against US imperialism. The rally, hosted by About Face, Veterans for Peace, PSL, and Anakbayan SD, took place in San Diego, a major site for the US's military operations, war manufacturing, and fascist, oppressive ICE and border patrol activity.

The US has long since used the Philippines as a launching pad for inter-imperialist war with China. Last week, a vessel named after our own namesake, Gabriela Silang, arrived in Hawaii to participate in the Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) war exercises. 😡

GAB LA condemns the fascist and corrupt PH state's use of her name, and we know the true meaning of upholding Gabriela's legacy: to fight against the forces that exploit, plunder, and terrorize the Filipino masses - US imperialism, bureaucrat capitalism, and feudalism - for a National Democratic and socialist system in the PH that will genuinely forward the needs of the majority. ✊🇵🇭

Join GABRIELA and join the anti-imperialist mass movement in returning to San Diego late July to demand End RIMPAC!

ICYMI: GABRIELA Los Angeles, alongside BAYAN organizations from across the US, like Anakbayan & Migrante, took the streets & marched to the LA Philippine Consulate to take collective action against our class enemies, and confront and expose the Philippine state's neglect, exploitation, targeting, and terrorizing of its own people.

Filipina migrant mothers & workers like Tita Gloria & Tita Karina led an inside delegation demanding competency from our government officials and genuine services to Philippine nationals. They reported on the outright disrespect & neglect from ATN Officer Ramon Nerida after seeking help for their detained sons. Consulate staff have even told Tita Gloria to not fight; that her son should self-deport. Shame!

Rather than listen to the needs of their constituents, the Consulate slammed its doors & called security on its own people. The Philippine government continues to surveil & label activists as terrorists when it is them we should be watching-- the corrupt government who is directly responsible for the plunder & exploitation of the Filipino people.

We must continue to bring together the struggles of overseas Filipinos & demonstrate the true solution to our forced migration: smashing the insidious 3 basic problems of imperialism, bureaucrat capitalism & feudalism, until true liberation is won through National Democracy and socialism in the Philippines!

Kuya Jonathan needs your help!

Kuya Jonathan is a 46-year old caregiver from Cebu, and Long Beach resident, who is currently being held at Adelanto’s Desert View Annex detention center.

His mother, Tita Gloria, has been fighting tirelessly for Jonathan. When she sought support from the Philippine Consulate, she met with callous indifference from ATN Officer Ramon Nerida. She was told that they have no services for his immigration case and that he should just self-deport. This is criminal neglect on behalf of the Consulate!

Tita Gloria urgently needs our community to stand with her as well and her son. He is just one of the many Filipinos suffering under inhumane conditions in a for-profit detention center, built off the separation of our very own families.

Kuya Jonathan has a hearing tomorrow on June 23rd, where he and his mom are calling on community support to show up for him and for the freedom of our kababayan. So please join us in the carvaan and attend kuyas hearing tomorrow with us! DM us to get more details and carpool support.

✊On June 13, 2026, GAB LA joined BAYAN, Malaya, and ICHRP in a confrontation of PH government officials as they celebrated 128 years of "PH Independence" in excess and granduer, while our migrant kababayan suffer from the very negligence and exploitation they facilitates alongside continued subservience to US imperialism!

🗣️WHO IS TO BLAME?

Present were Adelio Cruz, Consulate General of LA, and Ana Carmela, Presidental Assistant of Northern Luzon. Adelio Cruz and the PH Consulate continually prove their incompetence to serve the people. Masa report long waits, dismissive treatment, and repeated denial of Assistance to Nationals (ATN), a public fund entitled to all Filipino nationals in distress. Ana Carmela, much like ex-Labor Attache Macy Maglanque, had a hand in the ghost flood control projects; corrupt officials & construction companies stole massive public funds meant for protective measures, resulting in the death and displacement of hundreds. At the helm of corruption, Marcos Jr. and his regime continues to sell out the Filipino people to line their own pockets.

✊WE FIGHT BACK, TO WIN GENUINE INDEPENDENCE FROM US IMPERIALISM!

It is the community fighting behind the leadership of Filipino workers that win campaigns for freedom, like the release of Kuya Jonah from ICE and the win of trafficked Lancaster Caregivers from their abusive employer State 101 agency.

Let us continue this fight for genuine freedom from the roots of our forced migration, exploitation, and oppression, and demand socialism and National Democracy in the PH!

This weekend, a contingent of GABRIELA LA marched in the LA Pride parade! 🏳️‍🌈

We know that women's liberation & q***r liberation go hand in hand, because the oppressor is the same. Centuries of US imperialism and colonization continue to impose and reinforce the rigid gender roles we're still fighting against today. These gender divides are rooted in the class struggle, in which the ruling elites who run our world like a business throw around their money and try to shape the rest of the working class in their own image.

Pride is a protest against those attempts to control us, and that protest doesn't end when the parade is finished. Q***r liberation, women's liberation, worker's liberation, & the liberation of the Philippines: our enemy is all the same, our fights are all connected.

Get organized, fight against the ruling class! Fight against the 3 basic problems of US imperialism, bureaucrat capitalism, and feudalism and join an org like GABRIELA LA today!
