Amid the noise of the world, God continues to call. 🙏

Come and See is an opportunity to pause, listen to the voice of the Lord, and discern more clearly the path He is calling you to follow.

During this week, you will experience fraternity, prayer, mission, and the spirituality of the Friars Poor of Jesus Christ—a time to encounter Christ and open your heart to His call.

On this Father’s Day, we celebrate those who protect, guide, and love with sacrifice.
Fatherhood is a sacred mission. Every act of care from a father here on earth helps us understand the infinite love of our Heavenly Father.
Today, we honor all the fathers in our community, our benefactors, and our friends who, through their presence and example, help build a more humane and compassionate world.
Happy Father’s Day to all the men who have chosen to love and serve.
Pray with us for all fathers.

Celebrating nine years since the founding of our mission in Los Angeles.

Nine years of faith, compassion, and service. A journey shaped by grace and by the lives we have been blessed to serve along the way.

We are deeply grateful for your generosity, support, and prayers. Without your partnership, none of this would have been possible. God bless you.

We count on you to continue writing this story with us—a story God is calling us to live out through our lives, our service, our faith, our presence, and our commitment.

The mission continues.

Matt Talbot was an ordinary man, marked by addiction, yet transformed by grace.
Patron of our house in Birmingham, his story reminds us that God’s mercy reaches even the darkest places of the human soul.

In our mission, we encounter “Matts” every day on the streets men searching for a second chance, a renewed purpose, and hope.
With your support, we continue to be a place where that hope becomes real.

Nine years ago, our friars arrived in Los Angeles with nothing but faith and a calling.
No reserves. No guarantees. Only trust in Divine Providence and the generosity of people like you. Since then: thousands of meals served. Countless hours spent with the forgotten and abandoned.

We live by God’s Providence, sustained by the prayers and generosity of our community.

Nine years of mission. And it continues to grow. Thank you for making this possible. Will you help us write year ten?

Today, on the Memorial of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, we are invited to enter the school of Our Lady and learn from her heart.

The Gospel tells us that Mary “kept all these things, reflecting on them in her heart” (Luke 2:19). She treasured every encounter with God, every grace, every moment of His faithfulness.

The Immaculate Heart of Mary teaches us to remember the wonders of God, so that in our moments of desert, suffering, or darkness, we may return to that place of grace and find strength again.

May we learn to keep God’s works in our hearts as Mary did — with faith, trust, and a love that never fades.

Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us. 🤍

The Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary is the heart of a Mother who never ceases to intercede for her children.
Mary’s “yes” changed history. Every friar who answered the call to minister to the poor did so because grace overcame fear.
Today, we entrust our mission in Los Angeles to her Immaculate Heart our community, volunteers, benefactors, and every soul we serve. May Our Lady lead you ever closer to her Son.

On this Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, we pause to remember the source of everything we do. Our mission serving the poorest of the poor is not born from mere charity. It flows from a Heart burning with love.
Jesus said: “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Mt 11,28)

Do you feel called to something more? Ask the Sacred Heart. He always answers.

What a beautiful Corpus Christi celebration!

We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped make this day so special through their prayers, dedication, and service. Thank you for helping our community honor Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Most Holy Eucharist with such faith and devotion.

A special thank you to Fr. Nick Blaha for his spiritual leadership, and to Felix for capturing these beautiful moments and preserving the joy and grace of this blessed day.

As we walked in procession with Jesus in the Holy Eucharist, we publicly proclaimed our faith in His Real Presence and our love for the Lord of Lords and King of Kings.

Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, we adore You.

Corpus Christi

Today, the Church joyfully proclaims a truth that has been believed, celebrated, and adored for centuries: Jesus Christ is truly present in the Holy Eucharist.

The Blessed Sacrament is not merely a symbol or a reminder of Christ. It is Christ Himself — Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity — given to us out of His infinite love. In every celebration of the Holy Mass, the bread and wine are transformed into the living presence of the Lord, who remains with His people until the end of time.

Before the Eucharist, we stand before the same Jesus who was born in Bethlehem, preached the Gospel, healed the sick, died on the Cross, rose from the dead, and reigns in glory. He is truly here.

The Eucharist is the heart of the Church, the source of our strength, the food of eternal life, and the greatest treasure entrusted to humanity. Through this sacred mystery, Christ nourishes our souls, deepens our communion with Him, and fills us with the grace needed to live the Gospel each day.

On this Solemnity of Corpus Christi, may our hearts be renewed in faith, reverence, and gratitude for the priceless gift of the Holy Eucharist. Let us adore Him, love Him, and proclaim to the world that Jesus Christ is truly present in the Blessed Sacrament.

“O Sacrament Most Holy, O Sacrament Divine, all praise and all thanksgiving be every moment Thine.”
