Former LA City Worker Edwina Sutton, 71, Fatally Shot by Neighbor in Kentucky

Edwina Sutton, a retired LA City worker who made history as one of the city's first female Motor Sweeper operators, has been tragically murdered at the age of 71. Sutton was shot next to her home in Kentucky, where she had retired. The suspect has been identified as a neighbor. 😢

Mercer County authorities are investigating after a woman was reportedly killed in a shooting on Saturday morning in Harrodsburg.

We had Zero to do with empty fire hydrants that's your crew at DWP cut her salary she makes more than what 700 workers make, Repurpose funds used to run agencies with outside revenue savings enough to hire 1600 workers. I can go all day.

Mayor Karen Bass' spending plan for 2025-26 would bring layoffs to 5% of the city workforce. Bass said she's hoping state relief can stave off those cuts.

Hearing Mayor Karen Bass Tell President Donald J. Trump that La City Workers are going to be clearing Private property lots makes me LOL It is not what we do we have no authority to do it and it opens us up to liability, we Could do it we are willing to do it, but that just isn't what the City does. This race to rebuild in the same exact way with no changes to the building materials will result in the same exact outcome. Why will nobody even look at making changes to Prevent future fires? Not a single insurance company will offer coverage to these homeowners and in 2 years when the santa ana winds return Arsonists are one road flare away from repeating the exact same thing. Congressman Darrell Issa talk Some common sense to her please.

The last time I worked in Pacific Palisades about a decade ago I was shocked at the new construction - they went and added even more homes after that - Who got the bribe to okay building in those mountains? When will we start putting in concrete covered fire breaks to slow the spread of wildfires?
