Graduation is more than walking across a stage. For Damont, it represents a new beginning. 🎓💙

When he came through the doors of Los Angeles Mission, he was facing addiction, depression, and some of the most difficult moments of his life. Through faith, prayer, and the support of those around him, things began to change.

“I wasn’t proud of a lot of things in my life, but it’s a new beginning, a new life.”

Today, he’s celebrating how far he’s come and stepping forward into a new chapter. 🙏

Sometimes, making a difference starts with simply choosing to show up. 💙

For Volunteer Ambassador Teresa, giving her time, offering a smile, or treating someone with kindness can remind a person that they are seen, valued, and worthy of hope.

And that impact can come full circle. Some of the most powerful moments at Los Angeles Mission are seeing those who have received support go on to give their own time, energy, and resources to serve others. 🙏

As Teresa shares, the hope is that one day, no one will be left on the streets.

Your donation becomes something real. 🍽️❤️

It becomes a warm meal placed in the hands of a neighbor who needs it. A seat at the table. A moment of care. And sometimes, the first connection to the support that can help someone take their next step forward.

That’s where your generosity goes.

Meals are just one of the ways your support makes an impact at Los Angeles Mission. Follow along as we take a closer look at where your donations go and the lives they help touch.

🙏 There are many ways to serve at the Los Angeles Mission, including through prayer and ministry.

Melanie Ortiz, Director of Ministry and Church Partner Outreach, shares how church partners can provide spiritual care to our neighbors through praise and worship, ministry, prayer walks, and opportunities for pastors in training to put their knowledge into practice.

If your church is looking for a meaningful way to serve, we would love to welcome you to the Mission. 💙

This is what we’re working toward today and every day. Lives transformed and new stories being written. 🌱

After going through the Los Angeles Mission program himself, Joe now serves as a Chaplain, helping others find the freedom, healing, and hope that changed his own life.

As Joe shares, his story is just one of hundreds, if not thousands. He’s seen firsthand how the right resources, support, and faith can radically transform a life.

Donors make those opportunities possible. Every gift helps keep these programs going and gives the next person who walks through our doors the chance to begin again. ✨

A new sign of hope is rising in the heart of Skid Row. 🏠💛

Rosa’s Place, an expansion of the Downtown Women’s Center, is bringing 97 new permanent supportive housing units to women and survivors of gender-based violence who have experienced homelessness.

Expected to open in fall 2027, Rosa’s Place will nearly double the Downtown Women’s Center’s permanent supportive housing and provide more women with a safe place to heal, rebuild, and move forward.

As we continue working toward solutions to homelessness across Los Angeles, we’re encouraged to see more spaces being created where our neighbors can find stability, community, and hope.

At our Pet Wellness Event, Downtown Dog Rescue joined us to provide basic wellness exams, treatment, and resources for pets in our community. 🐾❤️

Dr. Rachel Hoffman and the Downtown Dog Rescue team brought compassionate, accessible veterinary care directly to pet owners in need, helping ensure their animals could receive important care and support.

We’re so grateful to Downtown Dog Rescue for helping make compassionate veterinary care more accessible to the people and pets in our community. Thank you for being part of such a special day!
