WHO WE ARE
LA Lady Arm Wrestlers is a new paradigm for entertainment and philanthropy. We produce wild over the top feminist spectacles of sport and performance art in the form of wrestling tournaments. For each match (3 times a year at Bootleg Theater), we partner with a different non-profit in our community and donate all the funds from the night’s antics to their good work. If you run a non-profit, message us here. We do all the work. All you have to do is show up.
We are a community of women and gender-non-conforming folx who believe in supporting our community through joy and exuberance. We are fiercely feminist and dedicated to changing the world by bringing people together to listen to each other and be weird together. We are an all-volunteer org and anyone can wrestle or “wrestle”. Strength NOT A REQUIREMENT.
We know it sounds a little bit bizarre. Basically, it’s a big wrestling tournament with outrageous characters, drag queen emcees, burlesque numbers, and ridiculous auctions and it’s all in support of folx in our community making the world a better place. Come see us!
