This is Malaya! 🐊💙 For some of you who may know her or have seen our recent stories, we had the privilege of moving her up to on Monday!

Malaya has been part of Hope Central Watts since she was about 7 years old. For over 10 years, we’ve had the privilege of watching her blossom and grow—not only as a student and young adult, but also as a believer. Now, she’s stepping into her next chapter, and we couldn’t be more proud of her!

A huge thank you to for making it possible for us to move Malaya to SFSU. We are so grateful for your continued investment in the youth of our community. 🐊
Ministry and church in the hood looks very different. It isn’t just a Sunday service or a midweek Bible study. It’s walking through life with our youth and families.

It’s buying clothes, buying groceries, connecting families with resources, and showing up when they need us. Sometimes, it’s even driving 8 hours in one day to move one of our youth into her college dorm.

It truly takes a village to make all of this possible—and you are part of that village.

Thank you for supporting our ministry financially, spiritually, prayerfully, and physically. We are so grateful for everyone who continues to come alongside what God is doing in Watts. ❤️

We are so excited to see what the Lord has in store for our youth as we head to camp this weekend, August 6–9! We are praying and expecting God to work in powerful ways as students spend time in His Word, worship together, and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

As we prepare to leave on Thursday, we ask that you join us in prayer. Please pray for safe travels for every student, counselor, and leader, and for the Lord's hand of protection over our entire trip. Pray that hearts would be softened to receive His Word, that lives would be transformed by the Gospel, that students would be rooted in their faith, and that God would raise up a generation that loves Him and lives boldly for His glory.

Thank you for faithfully covering our youth and leaders in prayer. We are trusting the Lord to do far more than we could ask or imagine, and we can't wait to see how He moves throughout this weekend.
