Animal Rescue Alliance & Farm Sanctuary Saving Lives...One Animal At A Time. Wherever we see an animal in need, we help.

After years of working in animal rescue, in 2011 Kelly Holland founded The Animal Rescue Alliance, a 501 (c)3 no-kill shelter and sanctuary. TARA rescues and finds loving homes for abandoned and abused companion and farmed animals, and offers sanctuary to those who have special needs and can sometimes be more difficult to adopt out. Our animals come from a variety of backgrounds, from homeless strays and ferals to rescues from kill shelters and hoarding situations. Located at Rancho Providencia, a peaceful four-acre ranch in Chatsworth, CA, TARA is a haven for goats, horses, donkeys, parrots and geese, cats and dogs. Farm animal friends at The Animal Rescue Alliance also provides some limited housing and lifetime care for animals through its trust program, "HAPPILY EVER AFTER." MEET ANNIE & SUNNY

Bonded pair need to find their forever home together!

A Message from their Foster:

"Several months ago I rescued a young mama cat ( Annie ) and her four babies from a truck yard when they were just two days old.

We were able to place three of the babies in forever homes, leaving me with Annie and her baby girl, Sunny.

The two of them have bonded so much that I am very reluctant to let the baby go off to a forever home without her. She would be devastated at the loss. They do everything together, and the mama, who was born feral, is finally coming around due to having her kitten to hang with.

Is anyone out there willing to take the mama and her little girl? Sunny is a calico and about 5 months old now. Annie ,the mama is a black and white short-hair and is about 15 months old. Poor thing was just a teenager when she got pregnant. I have four cats myself, otherwise I’d keep both of them! The kitten is very socialized and the mama is getting there. They are not caged anymore – they have free rein of my house and both socialize with my own cats quite well, with very little drama.

Does anyone have room in the home and their heart for this special pair?"

MOMA SOPHIE IS READY FOR HER FOREVER HOME! 🐾

Sophie did her job as a mama — now it’s finally her turn to be someone’s baby. ❤️

This sweet, gentle one year old girl is the perfect mix of independent and affectionate. She’s happy relaxing by the window watching the world go by, playing with her favorite shiny cotton ball, or enjoying a little catnip. But when her person walks into the room, Sophie is ready to hop on the couch, cuddle up beside them and turn on that wonderful purr motor.

She especially loves being petted on the side of her face, and she has so much love waiting for the right person.
