LeadersUp

LeadersUp LeadersUp activates the power of BIPOC young adults. We build a future-proof economy. markets by September 2017.

We transform education, workforce, and economic systems through power building, practice, policy, and systemic change. Established in 2013 by the Starbucks Corporation and launched by some of its leading U.S. suppliers, LeadersUp is a 501(c)(3) organization with the mission of bridging the divide between the untapped potential of young people and the business challenge of finding and keeping the b

est talent. At LeadersUp, we believe strategic investments in human capital is the key to creating an economically inclusive society. We are a full service talent recruitment and development organization specializing in the retail, manufacturing and TDL industries. We partner with mid to large sized companies to provide a sustainable pipeline of highly motivated talent that’s customized to meet specific business needs. We strive to engage businesses to connect opportunity youth to pathways that lead to middle-skilled careers, amplify business leadership that creates community impact, and develop and share innovative evidence-based practices that work. Our long-term strategic plan is to gain commitments from 100 companies to connect 5,000 young adults to career pathways across 10 U.S. Currently, LeadersUp is headquartered in Seattle, Washington and has major market presence in both Los Angeles, California and Chicago, Illinois.

For Trans Awareness Week, we affirm that visibility must be met with systemic transformation. Our vision is a future-proof economy where all people can learn, earn, lead, and thrive—and that can only happen when we actively dismantle the barriers faced by the Trans community. We strive to build inclusive ecosystems that provide opportunity pathways, where young adults can feel safe, respected, and successful. This week, we honor the lives and resilience of the Trans community and recommit to the ongoing work of equity in our education, workforce, and economic systems.

Join us in creating a more equitable future.

“Let’s be clear: if your vision isn’t encountering resistance, it’s not bold enough. Radical imagination demands that we dream so expansively that it challenges the status quo. To build a just and more inclusive economy, we must wholeheartedly embrace the bold visions and priorities of the next generation."
