The Irish Screen America Los Angeles Premiere of Soilsiú Films' award winning Young Plato documentary took place at the Laemmle Monica Film Center, May 21 2022 as part of Ireland Week.
Filmmakers, Director, Neasa Ni Chianain and Producer David Rane of Soilsiú Films travelled from Ireland with film subjects Jan-Marie Reel, Head of Pastoral Care and Kevin Mc Arevey, Principal, Holy Cross School, Ardoyne, Belfast for the screening, Q&A and reception.
The award winning documentary received a standing ovation from the audience and patrons enjoyed a robust and engaged Q&A with the filmmakers and subjects moderated by Irish Screen America, Deputy Director, Maedhbh McCullagh. Guests then enjoyed a reception hosted by Irish Screen America and Ireland Week at Ye Olde Kings Head adjacent.
It was such an honor and privilege for Irish Screen America to present this film and it would not have happened without the support and help of many.

Consul General of Ireland in Los Angeles, Marcella Smyth, Screen Ireland, US Head of Production and Partnerships, Steven Davenport and Ireland Week, Director, Buzz O'Neill were in attendance with over one hundred guests and members of the Irish Screen America community in Los Angeles. After the screening and an engaging Q&A panel with the filmmakers, guests enjoyed a reception hosted by Irish Screen America and Ireland Week at Ye Olde Kings Head adjacent.
