Bob Hope USO provides USO services, programming and outreach at six centers and dozens of military installations across 51,000 square miles in Southern and Central California, from San Luis Obispo to the San Diego County Line. We operate centers at LAX, Ontario International Airport, Orange County at John Wayne Airport, Palm Springs International Airport, Military Entrance Processing Station Los A

ngeles and at March ARB Deployment Center, Fort Irwin and 29 Palms Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center. Although congressionally chartered, Bob Hope USO relies entirely on donations to keep our troops connected to family, home and country. A 501(c)(3), we have been there for our troops since 1941.

It was all excitement, smiles, and some happy tears when our Orange County volunteers helped to welcome home SPC Jacob “Moose” Nieves, U.S. Army. We had some creative fun, making posters and signs for his big arrival. What a wonderful way to welcome him home with his loving, supportive, family Including mom, dad, brothers, cousins & friends. So rewarding for us as volunteers. We are truly grateful for his service, and wish him well with his transition.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the men and women who have given their lives in service to our country.
We remember them, and we stand with the gold star families who live with that loss every day. “May we never forget that freedom is not free.” 🇺🇸

Our Orange County volunteers celebrated military spouses with a delicious lunch and a flower arranging workshop! It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying a well-deserved day filled with fun & connection. As always we are especially grateful to our incredible volunteers whose support helped make this event run smooth.

Today we wear red for every service member missing birthdays, ball games, dinners, and quiet nights at home because they answered the call. No matter what’s happening in the world, we stand behind those who serve.

Our Orange County volunteers recently sprinted to support the ‘s 5k & BBQ. We kept runners hydrated with water & Gatorade, rounding out the day with snacks and games to celebrate. Everyone crossing the finish line are all winners!

Magnolia Pictures is offering free screenings of the film at theatres nationwide for service members/spouses (and veterans) and first responders.

Service members/spouses and a guest can watch the film free of charge May 5th, 6th and 7th in select markets across the country. Locations and times can be found here: www.normalthemovie.com/uso

This day is a reminder, not just of where they are, but of what they carry… duty, sacrifice, and the weight of a nation behind them. We remember them.

Every Friday, we wear red to remember and honor the brave men and women serving in our Armed Forces. RED Friday is a simple but powerful reminder that our service members are never forgotten. Behind every uniform is a family holding onto hope, strength, and faith.

Today, on Former Prisoner of War Recognition Day, the USO honors the strength, resilience, and sacrifice of those who endured captivity while serving our nation. Their courage in the face of unimaginable hardship is a powerful reminder of the cost of freedom and the enduring spirit of those who serve. We remember their sacrifices, honor their stories, and remain forever grateful.
